1. Kollam Beach

What’s Special: Scenic beauty

Timings: 24/7

Transportation Option: Cab, auto

Kollam Beach is one of the largest beaches in South Kerala. Also known as Mahatma Gandhi Beach, it receives thousands of visitors every day. One can enjoy swimming and a boat ride at the beach, along with mesmerizing views of the sunset. Marine Aquarium, a first of its kind in Kerala, lies on the eastern side of the beach. It houses marine life in large tanks. A spacious Mahatma Gandhi Park with a clock tower is also situated next to the beach. Because of the presence of a lot of attractions at and nearby the beach, it is one of the most-explored spots in Kollam tour packages.

2. Ashtamudi Lake

What’s Special: Boat rides

Timings: sunrise to sunset

Transportation Option: Auto, cab

‘Ashta’ means ‘eight’ and ‘mudi’ means ‘coned,’ translating the Malayalam word Ashtamudi to ‘eight coned.’ The name indicates the lake’s topography with its multiple branches. Ashtamudi Lake, the second-largest lake in Kerala, resembles the shape of an octopus or a palm confiner. It is famous for its tiny islets and backwaters. One can spot luxury houseboats, palm trees, Chinese fishing nets, and coconut grooves from the shore. Kollam Boat Club also operates Boat cruises along the route of this lake. Kollam tourism packages include Ashtamudi Lake in their places to visit.

3. Rameswaram Mahadeva Temple

What’s Special: Architecture

Timings: 7 am to 11:45 am and 5 pm to 8 pm

Transportation Option: Cab, auto

Dedicated to Lord Rameswara (Shiva), Rameswaram Mahadeva Temple is decorated with stone and wood carvings, exhibiting Kerala-Dravidian style. It is one of the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. Apart from Lord Shiva, other deities in the temple include Ganesha, the Snake Goddess, Krishna, Ayyappan, Navagraha, Rakshas, and Kartikeya. The festival of Maha Shivaratri is celebrated on a grand scale at the temple premises.

4. St. Andrews Church

What’s Special: Portuguese Colonial-style architecture

Timings: 6:30 am to 6 pm

Transportation Option: Bus, cab

St. Andrews Church is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to Andrew the Apostle, also known as St. Andrews. It displays Portuguese Colonial-style architecture and is surrounded by the T.S. Canal on the east and the Arabian Sea on the west. Despite several renovations, the initial charm of the church remains intact. You must include St. Andrews Church while booking a Kollam Holiday Package.

5. Palaruvi Waterfalls

What’s Special: Breathtaking views, medicinal properties

Timings: 8 am to 5 pm

Transportation Option: Cab, bus

Cascading from a height of about 300 feet, Palaruvi Waterfalls is one of the prime tourist attractions in Kollam trip packages. Palaruvi means ‘stream of milk.’ A short walking trail from the parking area leads to the falls. The waterfall is rich in medicinal properties, surrounded by natural herbal groves and lush green valleys. Due to its ayurvedic properties, it is said that taking a bath here is beneficial for one’s body.

6. Munroe Island

What’s Special: Canoe Tour

Timings: 9 am and 2 pm (Cruise timings twice a day)

Transportation Option: Ferry

Located at the confluence of Kallada River and Ashtamudi Lake, Munroe Island was named after the British resident of Travancore State, Colonel John Munroe, who integrated many backwater regions by digging canals. Munroe Island is a group of eight small islets. One can explore the island by indulging in activities, such as a Canoe Tour, feeding prawns, eating authentic dishes of Kerala, fishing, and watching migratory birds. Munroe Island must be a part of your bucket list while booking a Kollam Travel Package.

The leaf resort in munnar was really nice and had very comfort stay. Food was also superb. Jungle park resort in thekkady was only up to the mark. Good breakfast. House boat in alleppy was good clean and nice. we enjoyed crusing, our chef in house boat served us very tasty freshly cooked food. We tasted very good fish in house boat prepared by our chef. Our cab driver Mr. Arun really nice guy who drived well, helped guided us lot. Sinu from Deva travels really a awesome gal who planned helped guided us lot for planning our packing. I prefer Deva hospitality pvt Ltd Guys if u want to buy any spices buy in thekkaddy whole sale shops. Don't buy in spice gardens. If u want to go for speed boat or crusing try in Cochin. Book your boating tickets in thekkaddy online. Visit Dream land n wonder land in munnar. Anyone planning try Munnar-Alleppy-Kollam/Kanyakumari.

Aditya's 3 days trip to Kerala

We have visited beaches in Kovalam, house boat ride in kollam and Kanyakumari(Tamil Nadu), all the places are nice and beautiful but the problem is the roads in Kerala which are very narrow so be ready to spend most of the time of your journey on the very busy and traffic full of roads. but as I said when you reach the destination you will forget about this problem and enjoy the places You can get food easily (Veg and non veg both). If your planning to visit some places in Thrivendrum, please make sure not to plan on Monday as on Monday most places are closed(which was not told by our agent to us and our one day was wasted)and please choose cab driver very care fully as cab driver provided by agent to us was very rude, always in hurry and not interested to show us any thing which was hard luck for us but anyway I still recommend to visit the Kerala. House boat experience was very unique, relaxing and wonderful.
