Vatican Holiday Packages

When in Rome, visit the Vatican. The epicenter of Christianity, Vatican City holds a dominating position for the entire World.
The Vatican City was originally constructed in the 326 A.D. The Vatican is home to The Pope. One of the oldest libraries with original archives is found within the walled city of Vatican. The moat encircling the city is another feature which gives it a distinct fort-like appearance. St. Peter’s Basilica is one of the highlights of Vatican City. The Vatican City tour brings to you UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as a plethora of art museums and historical monuments with archeological and sculptural feats which will leave you dumbfounded. Vatican isn’t just important from a historical standpoint, it also is the center of major conspiracy theories such as the secret cults of Illuminati, Freemasons, etc.

The Vatican City is like the Mecca for Catholics. The City doesn’t just attract pilgrims and religious tourism, but also history-enthusiasts. It has recently become a hub for young historians to unearth evidence about secret cults such as the Illuminati and Freemasons. With the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica adorned with Renaissance-style architecture, paintings, and sculptures, The Vatican City is a popular tourist destination in Rome. The Holy Roman Empire always had an influence on the Vatican. Thus, the papal city of Vatican survived and thrived with Catholicism.

5 Best Places To Visit On Your Vatican City Tour

1. St. Peter’s Basilica

St. Peter’s Basilica is the highest dome structure of the World. It has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 119 meters high. The Pieta by Michelangelo and Bernini's Dome attracts a lot of artistic appreciation.

2. Sistine Chapel

This is the Pope’s domestic chapel, and if you are lucky, you might get to meet the Pope. Michelangelo’s frescoes cover the walls and the ceiling, creating an exceptional view. The mastery of Michelangelo can be clearly seen in these frescoes. Celebrated painters, such as Botticelli, Perugino, Rosselli, Signorelli, etc. have decorated the chapel with Biblical scenes depicting humanity.

3. St. Peter’s Square

The Piazza San Pietro is the grand square which is laid out in front of St. Peter’s Basilica. It was laid out and composed by Bernini with the intent of amassing the faithful. It stretches up to 372 meters. It is surrounded by statues of saints with an Egyptian obelisk of a height of 25.5 meters right in the center of it.

4. Museo Pio Clementino

The galleries of the Vatican museums are lined with exquisite sculptures and paintings by the Renaissance artists. The mosaic floor of theatrical masks from Villa Adriana in Tivoli, and the Sala a Croce Greca are some of the must-sees that have to be on your checklist.

5. Vatican Necropolis

Visit the pagan burial sites under St Peter’s dome and explore the Christian and Pagan graves to add a little adventure to your Vatican City tour. It is said to contain the remains of St. Peter.

How To Reach The Vatican City?

By Air

Vatican City is right in the center of Rome. Rome’s Fiumicino Airport or known as Leonardo da Vinci Airport is the easiest way to reach Rome. It is approximately 35 kilometers away from Vatican City.

Prasenjit's 12 days trip to Europe

It was a long planned trip to Europe , comprising of 3 main countries (France , Switzerland & Italy) in 12 days. Started off with multiple vendors and their quotes , but finally selected Hub Holiday based on my interaction with Rohit and Prashanth. The rates which were given to me was highly competitive. Thumbs up to it. PROS : ===== 1) First and Foremost , Highly competitive rates. 2) Excellent response time from Prashanth , not only before the start of the trip but also during trip. There was one case where I did not have a connecting train ticket printout with me in Venice Railway station. Got response within 30 sec from Prashant and got the ticket. Hats off to that. 3) Support during changed requirements was nicely handled. After initial plan , I requested changes for inclusion of PISA. It was excellently managed. Thumbs up. 4) Politeness of the persons in Hub Holiday. Every interaction of mine was handled with utmost sincerity. Good job. IMPROVEMENT AREAS (I will not say CONS as these people are new to travel organizing compared to other agents) =================== 1) I think , practical knowledge about the countries are really needed ( not only google / blog study ) for an effective itinerary creation. There were several instances where the station / bus stop is far from hotel , without even us knowing how to reach. Even though we managed with Google Maps and other ways , but for older and not-to-tech-savvy people , it might not be easy. So either detailed guideline or easy transport details should be given during travel voucher sending ( this i even asked , but did not get ) 2) Best transport options suggestion really would help a first time traveler. For example , in both Paris and Rome Hop-On Hop Off buses are waste of money. Much better option is to get Metro Tickets in bulk and use them for transportation. They are much cheap as well as very fast , so saving both money and time. These suggestions should be given and recommended. 3) Louvre / Vatican City etc. museums are always recommended to be visited with guides , or else it will just be some idols / arts without knowing what exactly are they. I felt , if we were told these things before hand explicitly , maybe we would have got better deal. Actually in Vatican , I had to book on-spot-guides , which is much more costly compared to prebooking of guides from Vatican itself. 4) VISA Planning : This was really scary for us. Even though i enquired with Rohit and asked him about VISA , his initial suggestion was 1 to 1.5 month was more than enough for Shenzhen VISA. But later we came to know , for some countries like Italy , it is always better to apply 3 months in advance as they take long time to issue VISA . For us , we received our VISA just 5 days before our travel, which was really scary. We even asked Prashant not to book any other vouchers like Eiffel Tower and other things. This resulted in , in last moment , we did not get online slots to book ticket at all and finally after reaching Paris , I had to book it separately. So these things needs to be handled in better way by guiding the first time travelers. Overall the trip went well and we were able to visit all the places as PLANNED. A Big Thank you to Prashant and team. Wish to get in touch with Hub Holiday again in future.

The overall experience was really good.we had a great time in all the three cities.Things moved as per our planned iternary. However would like to share few experiences so as your team can keep this in mind for any other travelers.first experienxe-the driver who came to pick us up looked little irritated as he had to wait for quite sometime.Though our flight arrived on time but I guess he came there an hour before and thus had to wait long but with no fault of ours. Second I-I believe planning a visit to Venice itself makes Gondola ride inevitable. It is a kind of experience which every traveler looks forward to.I would suggest to keep it a private tour instead of a shared tour so that the experience goes at par with expectations.I would suggest to prediscuss this with each traveler and then take it forward accordingly and customize if need be.Rest all was really good, the services and responses from the agent were very prompt and supportive .Thanks for making it so beautiful..Will definitely like to take your services in future as well Visit to Vatican city, florence -tower of pisa and so many others

Prabakaran's 7 days trip to Europe

I found a travel triangle through web search, and browsed for better pricing primarily, and got a reasonable quote through my contact point Mr Anmol Verma from Knowravel Holiday Services Private Limited/Hub Holiday. Anmol fine tuned my proposal to visit three countries and gave me an itinerary/Hotel Choices (a self-guided tour in most part) and arranged all the requirements by before the start of the tour. Since I had the last day (12th day) of the tour due to a night flight from Rome, I made a request to change in Itinerary in Rome and be accommodated by Anmol. Also, a request for a compulsory train from Lucerne to Venice was provided. Overall, Anmol was very responsive, and available almost every time I called/messaged and overall, he was pretty good. It was a well planned and packed itinerary, and thanks to Anmol for the same. Day 1: Paris Landed in Paris and transfer to Hotel 11 am. In Paris, got help form google Map app to reach Eiffel Tower. Used metro trains, every time cost 2.1 Euros per person, very comfortable. The summit level view was excellent. Day 2: Paris Bus tour, one day not sufficient to see if need to see museums, some are having entry fee. All monuments are just visited. Had a Sean River Cruise. Day 3: DIsneyland Paris One can use metro followed by RAR train to reach DIsneyland 5 euro per person. Memorable experience in Disneyland considering the advance and excellent rides, a must visit place in Paris for everyone. Day 4: Zurich Used metro to reach Main station to travel to Zurich. Visited Rhine falls and boat ride (6 CHF for 15 min). Day 5: Lucern Used Swisspass to travel to Lucern from Zurich, check in hotel, visited Mount Palatis, surprisingly entry included in Swisspass when we visited. Day 6: Lucern Travelled to Engelberg, visited Mount Titlis. Afternoon, travelled to Mount Rigi. Buses and trains are well connected, can visit both places in a day, as long day light available in summer. Day 7: Interlaken Travelled to Interlaken, Grindelwald, visited glacier canyon (19 euros per person/kids 10 euros), good experience of walking from Grindelwald to Canyon, walked through villages, canals, beautiful views of mountains. Visited Lanturburnn village, saw waterfalls, got panoramic views. One can visit Jungfrau but need to spend more (135 CHF with swiss pass), also First mountain for adventure activities, but we have not done. Back to lucern via Interlaken. Day 8: Venice Train from Arth to Venice, spend evening in Venice streets (like maze!). Day 9: Venice Boat tour Murano, Burano, Torcello, good one. Day 10: Rome Reach Rome from Venice, Visited Colosseum, Roman forum, palatine hill Day 11: Naples/Amalfi/Positano visit Took train to Naples (1 hour 10 min 300km), reached Sorrento (1 hour 15 min for 50 km) by 10 am, thought of doing Capri tour, but only got Positano/Amalfi coat car tour for 69 euros per person. Good one. We need to at least two days in Naples to cover all attractions. Missed Capri. Back to Rome by Mid Night (similar trains). Day 12; Rome Check out, kept luggage in Hotel. Bus tour, to cover, all monuments/museums, like Angelo Castle, Vatican City, Spanish steps, Trovia Fountain etc. There is Saravanabhavan near Rome Termini. Returned hotel, picked up luggage, transferred to Airport for return to India. We got good help from Google maps from most of the tour, as all transports are guided by the app. Suggest to do our own search and exploration will add values. Use local transports effectively. Almost, we travelled in buses, trains and boats except airport transfer. Paris-metros, Rome-Buses, Switzerland all transports are good. Overall, our tour was very memorable and fantastic with guidance from Anmol/Hub Holiday, and big thanks to the Knowravel/Hub Holiday team and Travel Triangle. Regards Prabakaran

Nitin's 8 days trip to Europe

Booked my honeymoon Europe trip (Paris & Italy) through Travel Triangle and finalized my booking with Duniya Safari. The itinerary was well-thought, well-crafted and they even modified it as per my preference. They took great care of all the things that I wanted to add on the trip. I was in constant touch with Ishita Roy and she did a commendable job in organizing everything. As we were traveling in Winters, she also took care of the weather and its impact. The VISA help was great as the Duniya safari team and the visa support consultants were constantly in touch with us and guided us through the whole process. The vouchers and the tickets were delivered well before time. Paris - The location of the hotel was good (near to the metro station & GDN). However, the room was small. The vouchers worked just as we expected. Overall it was a great experience. The airport transfer was hassle-free. Venice - Best of the lot. The hotel was really good (location, quality, and staff). The planned activities were worth it. Florence - The hotel was decent (the location was good but the staff was not exactly helpful in guiding us to reach the hotel). The Tuscany day trip was the highlight of the whole trip. Rome - The hotel, vouchers, activities were excellent. The hotel was well located and the Vatican, colosseum vouchers worked seamlessly. Overall the whole trip was a great experience thanks to Duniya Safari team. Special thanks to Ishita & Arindam who were constantly in touch with us and per-day update really helped us in planning our next day in advance. Great job guys and keep up the good work. Will contact you for future trips as well. Cheers !!

With regards to experience in vatican,i felt they could have booked a vendor who is more flexible for the guided tour as this vendor "Overrome" was not willing to respond soon to mails and also not willing to refund my money for the tour..I accept its my mistake of being late there by few minutes, but wheni checked there ,every vendor was willing to refund the money barring 8 euros..But this vendor was too stubborn...This was one bitter experience where i felt they were harsh to customers..Also "pickmytrails" werent even concerned about what i was doing next ..I expected them to show some bit of concern, but they werent bothered and not intrested to know what i had been going through..I expected "overome" vendor to refund atleast a bit of money back to my account (even though im not expecting to refund the full amount) as i had to spend some on another vendor close to 100 euros all over again..

Hemant's 10 days trip to Europe

Me and my wife planned 11 days trip to France and Italy during mid Feb'19. To say that our trip planner Siddhant and his team put together the experience of a lifetime for us, still somehow seems an understatement! When we started planning this trip, we spoke to about two to three different travel planners and while almost all of them were thorough and impressive in their own ways, Siddhant was the one who provided itinerary suggestions which were real time and exactly what we were looking for. Siddhant himself is quite familiar with various destinations across Europe and hence his expertise helped us in planning a wonderful trip. We started our trip from Paris. We stayed in Paris for three days and covered many known places like Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame etc. We also did cruise ride and even visited Indian street in Paris, named Gare du Nord, which had every Indian thing available. From Paris we travelled to Venice and stayed there for two days. Our stay was booked on the canal, which gave an edge to the whole trip. We visited beautiful islands in Venice like Murano, Burano and Torcello. We also enjoyed the scenic beauty of Venice by foot. Did Gandora ride, which was one of the lifetime experience. In Venice we did some shopping too and relished mouth watering handmade chocolates too. From there we travelled to Florence and stayed there for two days. Florence is a perfect place to be discovered on foot, it has very fine and breathtaking architecture. We also did a one day Tuscany tour where we covered Vienna, Siena, vine tasting etc. We were lucky enough to locate and dine in Indian Restaurants in Florence. From Florence we visited our last stop Rome. We stayed in Rome for 3 days and were able to see some lovely places like Colosseum, Vatican City, Fountain Triveni etc. Siddhant helped us in planning everything, right from perfect commute to choosing proper stay location so that we could easily travel to/from station by foot. He also helped us in figuring out stay duration at each place and also helped us in deciding right flight/train timings so we don’t end up wasting a day in just commuting. It’s so important to plan things right when you are travelling by yourself (no group). It turned out to be the most amazing and memorable trip of our lives. And we intend to book our future trips with Siddhant and his team. Thank you Team Duniya Safari :)
