How to Reach Kurisumala in Vagamon

It is a blessing that the beautiful Kurisumala hills are located in a strategic location. So worries regarding how to reach Kurisumla can be put to rest because of the easy and highly accessible means of transport like trains, buses, and road.

By Train- The nearest railway station to Kurisumala hills is Kottayam. The railway station comes under domestic station in India. You can board this train from another city and alight at Kottayam at an affordable rate and in a comfortable manner. The trains run all throughout the day but tickets need to be booked early in the morning through online or physical means.

By Bus- Direct buses run to and fro between so many cities and Vagamon. There are so many local tourist buses that function throughout the day and drops its visitors at Vagamon. Vagamon is the nearest bus station near Kurisumala. It is advisable to catch a bus during the day time, as it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the destination if the road is clear. Apart from the traveling time, you will get enough time to roam around the hills.

By Road- The road to Kurisumala is easy to locate and drive through. There are various cabs available on rent which will take you directly to the hills. You can even book a car from the railway station and bus stop that can also park right outside the hilly area, a ride by the means of the car is the quickest as it takes only 14 minutes to reach Kurisumala from Vagamon.

    I recently availed a travel package from 7C Destination - Ranjith helped us book the package, and while most of the experience was positive, there were a few drawbacks that I would like to highlight. Positives: Cab Driver: Sudhish, our cab driver, was exceptional. He was not only professional but
    also incredibly helpful and down-to-earth, making our journey smooth and enjoyable. Hotels: The hotels included in the package were excellent, providing great comfort and hospitality. Negatives: Houseboat Experience: Unfortunately, the houseboat experience was a major letdown. Not a single sightseeing activity was covered during the houseboat trip. The houseboat remained docked in a village where the crew seemed to be engaged in other work. Before the trip, we were promised a village tour, an optional powerboat ride, and then a return for a night stay. However, the crew moved at a very slow pace, and we ended up spending the night in the same village without fulfilling the promised activities. To make matters worse, we were dropped off early the next morning without any sightseeing. I hope 7C Destination takes these concerns seriously to ensure a better experience for future travelers.
