A luxury Kashmir tour package costs Rs 67,000 to Rs 85,000 per person on twin sharing for 5 to 6 nights with 5-star hotels and a private car, or about Rs 1.34 lakh to Rs 1.70 lakh per couple. A 3-night Srinagar-only break starts at Rs 35,000 per person. Flights are extra.

Three things move the price most. Dates: these are October 2026 rates, and fares climb over Christmas to New Year and in tulip season, when Srinagar's 5-star rooms fill first. The Gulmarg night: The Khyber is the costliest night on almost every route, so swapping it for an extra Srinagar night brings the fare down. The houseboat: a heritage Nigeen Lake houseboat costs more than a deluxe one on the Dal.

Private Car in Kashmir: Rules in Gulmarg and Pahalgam

A private car with an experienced local chauffeur stays with you across Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. You set the start time each morning, not a group.

In winter, the district administration often limits the Tangmarg to Gulmarg road to 4x4s and vehicles fitted with anti-skid chains during snowfall, so between December and March your agent may switch you to a local 4x4 for that last stretch, sometimes at extra cost.

In Pahalgam, the roads to Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari are open only to permit-holding local union taxis, and a similar local-taxi system usually applies for the Thajiwas Glacier side of Sonamarg. Your chauffeur waits at the town stand, and your agent books the local cab for those legs.
