Rishit's 9 days trip to Himachal

I had planned himanchal trip from 1Mar-9Mar 2020 with family. We had some really good time till we departed from Shimla on 3 March and headed towards Manali (Hotel Mountain Green Villa) and rest is history. I had opted the trip from the travel agency "Backpackers Tours and Travel" based out of Delhi. Before booking them they had this lady named Ekta Verma who was coordinating with me for this trip, shares me her fake testimony of appreciation from her previous clients and will try to convince you by all sort of way like saying "Sir, ek baar trust karke toh Delhi, ek baar service ka mauka toh do", guys never trust these "Backpackers Tours and Travel" agents ever. It's always a trap. All they care is just your MONEY and not SERVICE. Because that entire agency and their agents are full of lies. Though I made the entire trip payment before the start of my trip, these fraud Bagpackers agents hadn't paid the money of either of the hotel and in each hotel while checkout we all had to wait for half an hour so that the hotel manager will check and confirm that the full payment has been received (this point to be noted). Now saying that, I was accompanied by my 2 year old daughter and my 65 year old father and mother for this trip along with my wife. So, we came to know that at Dalhousie (being our last destination for the trip) had a snowfall and Khajiar is closed, which is the only point to visit Khajiar and it's quite chilling there wherein my aged mother father and my 2 year old daughter will not find that much chilling climate suitable so I requested the Bagpackers team (Ekta Verma) to change my destination from Dalhousie to Amritsar but she bluntly said no with an excuse that the payment has been made to the hotelier (which they haven't made to either of the hotel) and then I escalated the matter to Bagpackers other agent named Riya and TravelTriangle agents Anvesha and Amit Bhatti. So finally we reached Dalhousie and climate was not in a favoring condition so we cut short our trip for Dalhousie from 2 to 1 night stay and went to Chandigarh for 1 night stay and mind-blowing accommodation Bagpackers gave us near Chandigarh Railway Station , a cheap 2 star hotel whose room doesn't have lock but a latch, whose service is way pathetic then what you expect (and mind you I am with my family trip as I said before). Bagpackers hadn't paid Dalhousie payment also when I checked with the hotel receiptionist while checking out and these Bagpackers who just care about money and not service didn't refund me the amount for the other night of Dalhousie wherein I have to shelve entire money out of my own pocket for Chandigarh hotel. Also, to add cherry on the cake, these Bagpackers didn't laid the car company also their money, driver got the call from his company to drop the passenger wherever they are and don't pick them until payment is received and mind you, we are on a FAMILY trip, so I called up Riya, Bagpackers agent so then things got sorted otherwise just imagine where we would had been out of nowhere. Also, cab driver also charged me RS.1500 extra to take us to Khajiar from Chamba route which was open. So over all I had paid RS. 5000 (3500 extra for the Chandigarh hotel and 1500 extra for Khajiar, though Khajiar was included in my iternary) So, listening to the entire story of how Bagpackers has treated us and provided us the service for the entire trip with all LIES. I want TravelTriangle to take some strict action against this fake travel company with the compensation to me and my family sufferings. Looking forward for your kind cooperation and let me know what action has been taken against the Bagpackers and how much compensation will I be getting. Regards, Rishit H Mehta

I booked my trip via Rocking trips overall it was a good experience of the trip. Their executive Ms Neetu Singh was regular in touch telephonically , to assure quality services by hotels/taxi. Day 1 : Morning I arrived 6 AM at Pathankot & cab was already waiting for me at Railway station. It was a 2 & half hours drive from Pathankot to Dalhausie. Checked in Hotel New Palace Hotel rooms were good & got good services.Though buffet was not there but hotel still gave good room service for breakfast & dinner.Later I visited Punch pulla. Good sort of Picnic spot for family .You can enjoy adventure rides, waterfall. if your looking for lunch here you'll just get snacks only. Day 2 : Day 2 I visited Khajjiar ,kalatop & Chamba. Khajjiar - a good place, real mini Switzerland.Enjoyed Para Gliding here.Place to relax and enjoy weather. However Chamba not a happening place as temperature is slight high here & not much of the places to visit despite few historical places like museum & palace. Better to Opt for Chamera lake for boating, which I couldn't go due to landslide. Day 3 ; was a long drive to dharamshala from Dalhousie ,but all tiredness went off after visting Dharamshala stadium.Checked in Hotel Origin.Very good rooms , but hotel was slight far from local main area. Day 4 : I visited Dalae Lama temple ,Bhagsu fall , Bhagsu temple, Monestry. Bhagsu Fall was best among all. Day 5 I returned to Pathankot. Overall great experience to book with Travel Triangle & Rocking trips. Will definitely suggest to friends & special thanks to Ms Neetu Singh who made all arrangements upto the mark. Weather of Dalhausie , Khajjiar & dharamshala.

Package Cost me Rs 24,000/- Day 1:I was Travelling from Jammu ,The internet service was not available ,the remaining payment I had to be done by Cash mode after reaching the hotel ,It was very frustrating Night 1 :Horrible experience ,Hotel has been changed ,Skylark to some local Rosewood hotel (stay was OK but dinner we had outside) Day2: breakfast has less option ,opted for Paratha (very Bad but was hungry)but me and my wife vomited during Journey ,Places :More religious places chamunda devi, brijeshwari temple has been covered instead of Natural sight seeing, however places were nice,Kangra fort was awesome. Cab service was good. Night 2:Dinner was worst ,we are unable to eat it ,badly cooked and rotten smell is coming out.Beds were comfortable but room was dirty and not properly cleaned stained were there. Day 3:transfer to Dhramshala to Dalhousie ,in between we visited Monastery ,Dalai Lama was addressing there. It was heartfelt experience. reached to Banikhet near by Dalhousie in Hotel Grand Dalhousie. It is budget hotel Staying was good. The road trip from Dharamshala /mcleodganj to Banikhet was awesome but the nature is fragile there ,not recommend to visit during rainy season as frequent landslide occur. Night3: Dinner was good in first night as a group of student visited there to stay. Day4:Visited Dalhousie church,KhajjiarThe best place in my journey, very awesome weather, picturesque ,views and many more to be refreshed.Khajjiar is also a good picnic spot.Afterwards we went to Chamba laxmi narayan temple, which is inside city,Dalhousie to chamba to Banikhet road is dangerous. However cab driver Sameer was excellent in his work. Night 5:we were Happy to had good trip. But again Food/Dinner in grand Dalhousie was worst(I mean it). Day 6: Early Morning we left for Pathankot. The Bad Parts are : 1.unexpectedly telling me to pay the remaining bill either by Cash or Online.while I was coming from Jammu where there were not internet service. 2.Changing of Hotel Skylark to some not so good hotel Rosewood (staying was Okay but Food was literally worst).Beware if you had bad food it can ruin your trip. 3. Dharmshala/Mcleodganj (more of religious kind, temple visit) instead of more historical places ,museum, sight seeing 4.hotel was in Banikhet not in Dalhousie, the weather & views in Dalhousie is awesome and not same as Banikhet. 5.Food was worst. The Good Parts: 1.The cab/Private vehicle service was very good, comfortable.Driver was experienced, drives smoothly ,well mannered ,gentleman and assisted us where he can. 2.Dalhousie ,Khajjiar ,Monastery ,Kangra Fort visits are memorable part. 3.Temple visit were also fine but not so exciting. 4.Staying was normal,as these are budget hotels. 5.The hilly road drive was awesome. Note:However ,I felt that I would have chosen government approved & 3 star or above rated hotels ,not the travel triangle or other website rated 3 star hotels for comfortable STAYING/SLEEPS and for quality FOOD.

A much awaited trip ended with beautiful memories. Thanks Amazing India Routes for the heavenly experience in indeed what can be called as heaven itself "Ladakh". Truly amazed by the people and beauty of the place. The hard-work of each and every person who is working on making the tourists feel comfortable in such a difficult environment is really commendable. Really appreciate how we could get a 7-8 course meals in a place(Nubra and Pangong) which is so difficult to reach and with no available amenities. Kudos to Ladakh Summer Camp where we stayed at both the places for managing it so so well, i really dont now how they are able to maintain the same enthusiasm every day !! Coming to our Hotel in Leh which was Kidar, awesome place and people again and no complains. Our Driver "Chamba" was great and we had an awesome time with him over our trip of a week. Lastly wanted to thank Priyanshu for organizing it so well for us. I am definitely going to refer you guys to all of my friends who are visiting Ladakh in future. Thank you so so much :)

No follow up was made during entire trip in regards to hotel or driver..Driver didn't have any details as what places he has to make us visit and was un interested all the time..we called travel agent but no sure what they speak to driver ... infact driver was. Asking questions that how dare we complain ABT him . The itinerary which was made doesn't contain any local sight seeing like chamera lake or kalatop or Pancho Ulla etc...we had to pay extra to different driver to visit these places. The places they covered was chamba one day and khajjiar another day..which can be clubbed in a single day as distance between them was 25 Kms only and didn't had much places to visit. We as traveller don't know much bt travel agent shud have all those info.. The only good part of trip was hotel which I chose myself and gave that preference to the travel agent.

There were issue wrt financing. Hotel bill was 11200 (as per hotel) and we were asked to pay 12000 (as per agent). Cab driver was paid 7000 and rest all seemed like Agent's commission which is approximately 40% of the base charges ( around 7-8k). Moreover cab driver asked 200 more even after we paid the whole trip expenses and even after clarifying the issues with agent no action was taken from your side. Ms. Kritika was not picking up the phone and the costing team in charge ( Mr. Vinay) had his phone switched off. Ms. Madhavi was the only one co-operating but situation was not in her control as she said. Also there was miscommunication btw agent and cab service. In the middle of the trip to khajjiar, driver's manager refused to take us Chamba inspite it was in the itenary. And it took one hour to clarify him the same. His behaviour was also an issue, the way he refused. Hopefully never looking forward for help from you side.

Dheeraj from Travel triangle has given the best service he can. Our itinerary was not planned the way we wanted and it was never asked that what we expected out if this trip. There is nothing you can see in Dalhousie and In Chamba except some local markets and few temples. Still our hotel stay was good and we have got Best service there. Cab was good and driver was over friendly. It would have been better if travel agent atleast have some knowledge about Dalhousie and the places nearby. Which they have not. Yet it was a good trip. NA
