Our priority for the trip was to provide pure veg only hotels. 2 Out of 4 hotels were found non vegetarian, 1 of them was too far from the market and cab driver also denied to take us to the market saying that his duties over. And due to that we were not able to get the food of priority and we skip the plan visit of kufri and Shimla and returned back to Delhi a day before actual plan. Travel agent Ashutosh tried to help us out and provided a hotel in Delhi and committed to provide a cab to explore Delhi with an additional cost of 1000 rupees and also committed to refund food charges which we did not took at the non veg hotels (500*4) Manali was awesome

The trip was well organised.. The hotels were good .. Cab pick up was on time .. Once we onboard the cab he became the tour decider .. Mid of Delhi to Manali .. we have to take a break stating land slide in Manali on Feb 7th post 8 pm .. took a room with own cost on Mandi.. since Tour agency was not ready to bear the cost. Next day to Kulu paragliding .. cab just stepped on a agent .. the agen fixed our paragliding prices including cab 3k negotiate to 2.7K .. which include Mahendra 4*4 hill ride .. if we want River raft another 4k they demanded.. Next day solang valley night only Our cab driver informed our vehicle can't go there .. Take 4*4 gypsy or Mahindra van .. Again negotiate he dropped on another agent for cab he Demanded 8k for Taxi.. we found a 4*4 taxi for for 6k .. which out travel agent didn't let us board.. Ended up paying 6k to visit solang valley.. Next day was Manali and Simla a part sofe seeing .. just went on cab driver itself.. Apple garden visit and some games were included in Shimla Kurfi.. Again cab driver stopped to a common point and started to argue my Ertiga car won't go far from here only 4*4 can go to Apple garden.. We again fought with Agency's and they made cab driver to drop in Mini zoo .. which had leopard .. deer .. bears and some wild birds.. Over night stay was planned.. Since farmers strike we were forced to get down to Delhi else road block will happen by cab driver advice.. Since we don't want to miss flight .. we reached Delhi by 6.30 Am. The entire trip was messed up by a Stupid Transit Cab driver and this Agency's.. They clearly mentioned games your cost .. but no where they have mentioned 4*4 cab travel is your cost.. Ended up paying 20k extra since this cab ertiga is not 4*4 to travel around.. If you guys plan Manali better take a 4*4 vehicle fix them first itself they take for same cab which they boarded from Delhi to Sollang valley.. Atul tunnel, Koskar .. Shimla Kurfi on the same vehit.. Never choose Ertiga/dezire .. plan well and travel to Manali and Simla .. The road between Manali and Simla is 200km full of holly area request driver to drive slow.. My cab driver was full on mobile single hand drive everyone vomit and lost their strength.. Plan well fix the total expenses and got.. For games alone Manali and Kufri 15k per person .. if you take 4*4 seperate again 12-15k .. Good place to visit don't get trap with fake promises agencies.. My trip was from February 7-12 spent around 90k but nothing enjoyed due to poor organize and lack of knowledge.. Delhi or Chandigarh is local point to reach Shimla and Manali.. prefer a 4*4 so that you don't want to pay more .. Food you get all North Indian food .. Bread omlet and noodles .. All the best friends.. Got to play on snow ..

Lakshmi's 5 days trip to Himachal

We had a good experience overall, but there were some sightseeing places which are of no use. Hotel services : We had checked into 2 hotels. 1st hotel was awesome food, ambiance and the management are really good. @nd hotel we checked in are away from the main road, isolated somewhere, management are not so supportive and if we place the order for room services (Hot Water for Drinking). We used to wait for more then an hour. No timely cleaning happened inspite of we asking them for room services. Water blockage in the washroom. Overall we had bad experience in our send hotel. Sightseeing Locations : Non of the locations were worthy for the money. Planning would have been better. Worst Experience was : Kufri point experience was pathetic. Would have planned something else instead.

Ankit's 3 days trip to Himachal

Booked it through Ideal Tours. 2 day 2 night trip to Shimla for 2 people. Enjoyed it. Shimla is a beutiful place to visit during winters. The pros and cons of the trip were: 1. Hotel - The quality of Hotel and room could have been much better for the price paid. I was assured a room with balcony and great view but my room didn't and the window opened on the side of the building and had view of adjacent trees and building rather than the valley. I was told that Hotel Royal Vista Shimla is a 3 star hotel, but that turned out to be a dissapointment. It was located around 6 km from Shimla. The room was very small, hardly 12 ft by 8 ft. Even after i requested and argued with the agent, i couldn't be alloted a better one. The wooden almirah had moulds inside. The temperature in shimla dipped to -3 celcius at nights, but the hotel asked us to pay extra for a room heater (it should be a standard facility in rooms in a '3 star hotel', especially in winters). The bathroom was good, but only a soap was available in terms of toiletries. Food quality in the hotel was good, even though variety was limited. The staff was courteous enouigh. 2. CAB - We were given a swift dezire cab for travel and sightseeing, which was clean, well maintained and driver Mr Rohit Thakur was very good and soft-spoken too. 3. Sightseeing - On first evening, we went to Mall Road, Shimla on christmas eve, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully lit buildings, the church, viceroy's palace, and the shimla valley view from there and the cold weather was just the icing on the cake. 2nd day, we went to Kufri, and travelled to Mahashu Peak on horseback and also visited Kufri Fun World. Later in the evening we proceeded to Chail and visited the famous Kali Tibba Temple. On the 3rd day, we visited Naldehra and Mashobra, and enjoyed our horseback trip there in the tranquil atmosphere. In the afternoon, it started to snow., which we were waiting for our whole trip. To sum up our sightseeing experience: Mall Road is a must go but go in the evening around 5 pm and stay till 8-9 pm to enjoy it fully. The souveniers, clothing, etc available there are overpriced so i wouldn't suggest buying anything from there. Kufri is just a overhyped, especially Kufri Fun World, you can avoid going to Fun World, as it is just like any other amusement park. The best places to visit are Naldehra and Mashobra. The crowd is less and the whole atmosphere is more serene and peaceful. 4. Overall Agent Experience: Satisfactory. The agent tried a lot to get me good hotel options, but he couldn't in his own budget, due to it being christmas weekend. Rest everything was well arranged.

All the hotels were excellent except for Hotel Divyansh by VRB Hotels at Dharamshala. Unfortunately we were welcomed with a pile of poop in the western commode in our room at our arrival. All the remaining hotel experience was excellent. The food at the hotels was also very good. Our cab driver Dinesh was friendly and very cooperative. I would love to travel with Dinesh in my next trip. We have been to Sissu out of our itinerary from Manali. One of the best decisions I have taken. Extremely beautiful and Instagram worthy. I felt the sport activities apart from paragliding, ziplining and river rafting is waste of money. They didn't add anything much of experience. Don't opt for Fun World at Kufri. Total waste. Just the exploration experience was good at Kufri. Telescope view from Kufri was worth watching. Monastery at Dharamshala was a very peaceful experience. The visits at Dalhousie weren't as good as I have expected as there is nothing much at the time of December.
