1. Jaitak Fort

Located on the top of Jaitak Hills, Jaitak Fort is one of the oldest forts in Nahan. The fort was constructed with the remains of Nahan Fort, which was attacked by the Gorkhas leader Ranjor Singh Thapa and his followers. 2. Renuka Lake

The largest natural lake in terms of area in Himachal Pradesh, Renuka Lake, is named after Goddess Renuka, the wife of sage Jamadagni and mother of Lord Parashurama. As per the beliefs, when King Sahasarjun was trying to abduct Goddess Renuka, she jumped into the lake, now known as Renuka Lake. 3. Renuka Temple

Located at the edge of Renuka Lake, Renuka Temple is devoted to Renuka Mata, the incarnation of Goddess Durga. As per the beliefs, to obey his father Jamadagni’s order, Lord Parashurama, beheaded his mother Renuka at the same spot where the temple now resides. Although Goddess Renuka came back to life, the temple was named after her. Every year in November, Renuka Fair is conducted to honor Goddess Renuka.
4. Renuka Wildlife Sanctuary

Renuka Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Renuka Reserve Forest, is currently under the control of the Shimla Wildlife Division. The sanctuary houses species like Indian Softshell Turtle, Indian Pond Heron, Black Bear, Red Junglefowl, Leopard, Blue Bearded Bee-Eater, Spotted Deer, Eurasian Coot, Indian Spot-Billed Duck, and more. Lion Safari is a major activity to take a dose of adventure expedition.
5. Shivalik Fossil Park

Located on the banks of the Markand River, Shivalik Fossil Park is also known as Suketi Fossil Park. The park displays six life-sized fiberglass models of extinct animals. The museum on the premises is the storehouse of vertebrate fossils and skeletons, dating back millions of years.
