How to Reach Shimla and Manali

By air

The nearest airport to Manali is Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali), about 50 km away, with flights from Delhi, Chandigarh and Pathankot; hire a cab from there to your hotel. For Shimla, fly into Shimla (Jubbarhatti) Airport, about 23 km from town. Many travellers instead fly into Chandigarh, which has far more flights, and drive up from there.

By road, bus and Volvo

Shimla and Manali are well connected to Delhi, Ambala and Chandigarh by state and private buses, including overnight Volvo coaches that reach Manali in roughly 12 to 14 hours. By train
