Located in the Almora district of Uttarakhand, Dwarahat is a town and a nagar panchayat which is perched at the gorgeous hills of Kumaon in the same state.

Dwarahat sits at a height of 1,510 metres above sea level, and can be a perfect spot for a peaceful vacation.

According to the local language here, Dwarahat literally means ‘Way to Heaven’. Dwarahat is a tourist attraction because of the ancient temples built here during the rule of Katyuri kings.
