The temple is situated at bilva Parvat (Mountain). This is one of the famous temples visited by devotees and pilgrims. This temple is one of the seedh peeths in Haridwar.
Bahrat Mata Mandir: - This temple is dedicated to India; here India is imagined as a mother (Bharat Mata). Bharat Mata Mandir or Mother India temple is situated near the Sapt Rishi Asharam. This temple has 8 floors and each floor has various idols of different Gods, Goddesses, Kings, Leaders, and Revolutionists. It was inaugurated in 1983 by the late India Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi. This temple is mostly visited by tourists.
Chandi Devi Temple: - this temple is dedicated to the Goddess Chandi Devi. It is believed that Goddess Parvati (Wife of Lord Shiva) killed demon Chand and Mund here. Goddess Parvati was changed to her destroyer avatar which is called Chandi. Thus this place is called Chandi devi temple, Chandi devi temple is located at the Neel Parvat. This temple is aone of the siddh peeths in Haridwar, where pilgrims sit and remember different gods.
Dakshewara Mahadev Temple: - this famous temple is dedicated to lord Shiva (Mahadev). This is also known as Dhaksha Temple or Dhaksha mandir. King Dhaksha was father of Mata Sati (First wife of Lord Shiva). This temple is situated in the toen named Kankhal. The temple is one of the most famous and ancient temples in Haridwar. In this temple millions of Shiv bhakts come here to celebrate Mahashivratri festival. This temple is the main attraction for the pilgrims on kanwar yatra.
Har ki Pauri: - This is temple is famous for ganga Aarti and sacred baths (snaan). Har means God and Pauri means foot prints, a mythological story says that lord Vishnu came here and his footprints can be seen here on the stone wall. People also visit Har ki Pauri for kumbh mela and aardh kumbh mela. This temple is located in the centre of Haridwar.
