Triund is one of the most popular treks and spots for camping in Dharamshala. Nestled among the breathtaking Dhauladhar mountain ranges, this hill station is a beautiful sight to behold and lying under the starry skies of this area at night is an experience in itself. Most of these camping sites include food, adventure activities, lodging, bonfires, trekking and a host of other activities. Night camping in Dharamshala on Triund trek offers a beautiful sight of clear skies lit up with stars. The best time to visit Dharamshala is from mid-May to June and September to October when the weather is pleasant and not too cold.

1. Triund Camping: After a trek of around 9 km from Mcleodganj, trekkers reach a ridge of Triund which is ideal for camping. It is one of the most beautiful spots for camping in Himachal with the views of Dhauladhar Range on one side and the Kangra Valley on other. Tourists don't need to carry their own camps or tents as rented tents are available at the Triund Hill.

2. Bir Billing: Although Bir and Billing are popular for paragliding opportunities, tourists can also stay in camps here. Homestays and camps can be rented for longer periods as well. The town of Bir has a few Buddhist monasteries worth checking out.

3. Kareri Lake: Trekkers can reach this beautiful tranquil lake in the foothills of Dhaualadhar Range from Dharamshala. Its base camp is located in the Ghera village and tourists need to rest for the night at Reoti village. On the second day, Kareri Lake can be visited via 2-hour trek.

Camp among the oak and conifer forests and the snow-capped mountains of Dharamshala and view the natural beauty of this region. Stay in a camp and wake up to glorious sunrises and fresh mountain air. You can go camping in Khauli valley and Kareri village where you can go trekking across the lakes and mountains as well.

Sit and watch the beauty of the verdant forests, river streams, and snow-clad peaks. You can also try adventure activities like zipping, boating and rope courses. I want to give 1 star but feedback is not submitting below 3 stars so i have to give them 3 stars forcefully. I did not attend the Himachal trip, not by choice, but because of the serious and unforeseen geopolitical situation that made travel unsafe and impossible. Despite reaching out via email for clarity and support, I received no timely or responsible response from your team. Flights were canceled, regions like Shimla and Dharamshala were under high alert, and travel was clearly not feasible. In such circumstances, citing standard cancellation policies and offering only a credit note is highly disappointing and insensitive. This experience reflects a lack of seriousness in handling customer communication and crisis situations. I expected better professionalism and empathy. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and improve your communication, support, and refund policy handling in future cases.
