Da Nang Tour Packages

About Da Nang: rated 4.2/5 (based on 107 reviews) | Packages starting from ₹37,000/-

Vietnam’s coastal city, Da nang is known for its sandy beaches and historical extravaganzas. It has been a French colonial post and a popular tourist spot for people on a Da nang holiday. It is also the gateway to visiting the Bà Nà hills on its west. A tourist will find many caves, pagodas, and Buddhist shrines at this destination.

The beauty of this city is that it is halfway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and also the fourth largest in Vietnam. A traveler must make it a point to halt here and enjoy the exciting holiday spots it offers. Food is also great here and one must-try authentic Vietnamese when here.

How to reach

While there are no direct flights from Delhi to Da nang, one can book a direct flight to Hanoi from all major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, etc. Take a tour Da Nang when you land in Hanoi or any other key city in Vietnam, and then either take a flight to this city or take the road to reach here.

Best time to visit

Summer (June- August)

This is the best time to book Da nang holiday packages. The temperature fluctuates between 32 to 38 degrees Celcius and tourists are flocking the city then. It is mostly dry so sightseeing is easier. Accommodation and flights during this time are costlier compared to any other time of the year.

Monsoon (September- December)

This is the time of the maximum amount of rainfall in Da nang. Temperatures are low and it could get slightly nippy. There are no adventure or outdoor activities available during this time. If you wish to enjoy the cafes and quietude of the city, though, this will be a good time.

Winters (January- May)

A good time to visit Da nang, these months see low temperatures. However, you won’t find many tourists here during this time. The accommodation and flights are cheaper and the place is less crowded compared to any other time. The temperature ranges between 20-30 degrees Celcius.

Best places to visit

When booking the Da nang tour package, include these five places on your holiday:

1. Marble Mountains

South Da nang, you will find a cluster of five hills made of marble and limestone known as the Marble mountains. These mountains are highly revered and very ancient. A world-known pilgrimage site, there are caves, tunnels, temples, and grottoes hemmed here. These mountains have stood the test of time and even the wars in Vietnam, the bullet holes of which can still be found here.

2. Golden Bridge

Probably the most popular Da nang’s attraction, the Golden Bridge is located in the Ba Na Hills and has two giant hands cradling the bridge. These carvings, known as the ‘Hands of God,’ are intricately designed, and have been around for ages. What makes it even more appealing are the Chrysanthemums planted here.

3. My Khe Beach

With a distance of 20 miles, My Khe Beach is the most famous beach in Da Nang. Forbes even called this beach one of the most luxurious in the world, making it the perfect spot for a Da nang holiday. There are numerous cafes and restaurants here with some amazing accommodation facilities.

4. My Son Sanctuary

A UNESCO world heritage site, My Son Sanctuary is about 40 km from Da Nang. It was built in the 14th century AD by Champa rulers. There is a temple of Lord Shiva here, a considerable part of which was destroyed in the American Vietnam war. The foliage of the sanctuary is wonderfully made of natural and man-made beauty.

5. Hai Van Pass

Known as the ‘ocean cloud pass,’ the long strip of 21 km connects the Lang Co in the Hue Province and Da Nang. This is the highest pass in Vietnam, 500 meters above sea level. Beautiful mountains everywhere in the line of sight, you can choose to take a jeep tour to get a panoramic view of the entire pass.

Yashodhan's 11 days trip to Cambodia

The trip was very well organised. There were a few hiccups though. The Da Nang Red-Shanked Doucs monkey trip was a shambles. The jeeps made such a noise that the monkeys must have fled deep inside on hearing the sound! I had lugged my 100-400 telephoto all the way to be able to take a shot of these monkeys. The person conducting the trip was in a hurry of completing the trip. Apart from this deep disappointment, the rest of the trip was well executed. We needed a change of guides in Siam Reap which was done immediately. The Halong Bay cruise was supposed to be a 5* cruise but we did not experience it that way. The vehicles picked us on time and the crew appeared to put in extra effort to make us comfortable. All in all a good trip save for the couple of hiccups I mentioned. I would definitely travel again with Eric if he fixes these few lacunae.

Ashish's 6 days trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - Darjeeling

It was a great experience traveling and enjoying in Sikkim. We met our driver (Vivek) at Bagdogra Airport who was very well groomed and his car was very clean and in good condition. On the way he showed us a veg restaurant where everything was is in place. Then at Rangpo (Entry to Sikkim) we were welcomed by Jeremy Travels owner and our guide Himakshi. After that we resumed our journey to Gangtok. Around 3:30 we reached our hotel and in the evening, Valentine Day Evening we went to MG market which is a must visit place in Gangtok (except Saturday). Next day plan was for Baba Mandir and Tsongmo Lake(We also applied for Nathula pass but couldn't get permit for the same). Way to both these places was mesmerizing, such a clean sky, hills covered with snow and good weather. What else do you want? After reaching baba mandir we took blessings from Baba Harbhajan Singh (He is revered as the "Hero of Nathula" by soldiers of the Indian army, who built a shrine in his honour. He was accorded the status of saint by believers who refer to him as the "Baba". As with most saints, the Baba is believed to grant favours to those who revere and worship him. He is said to be protecting the country even after death). After clicking so many photos (we made friends there who clicked our pics and vice versa, We also met one of our friend there) surrounding the natural beauty we started out journey to Tsongmo lake. Tsongmo lake was frozen, we took Yak ride there and believe me it was best experience with Chats and songs from us and Yak owners. Third day we moved to Lachung with our new Driver bhaiya Keshap who was very good person and professional. On the way he showed us some good view points. In the evening we reached our hotel, due to Fog we couldn't see the hills around it. It was very cold over there but the tasty food at the hotel made us forget about it. Next morning view from our hotel made us go awestruck, with sun falling on the hills covered in snow and waterfall in between the hills. Plan was to go to Yumthang valley but couldn't go there as roads were closed due to heavy snowfall. Then Keshap suggested us to go to Katao which was a very beautiful place covered in snow. After spending and clicking pics there we moved back to our hotel in Lachung. After having a sumptuous lunch we started our journey to gangtok. In the evening we went to MG market again to buy souvenir and gifts. Next day early morning return journey to Bagdogra started. We reached airport well before our flights, thanks to Keshap da. All these days Himakshi mam called daily in morning and evening to know our well-being and to tell us plan for the day. She was very helpful. One more thing that needs to be added here is we lost our Mobile in the car. Keshap da travelled back to hotel to return the mobile.

Kushaagra's 11 days trip to Andaman

BAD SERVICE I took only the sight seeing package (no Hotels). I dont want to take any names or target any individual, hence a generic feedback below. The local coordinator in Andamans, is a hopeless guy. He doesnt pick up the calls. Even if he calls back, after a lot of chase, he seems to be doing a favor. He has many lame excuses such as, he was driving, he was at doctor, he was at some festival ritual etc... Also he is in a hurry to cut the call. He doesnt even listens to us. Right from day one, I was asking the details of my ferry tickets, but they gave me only the first ferry details from PB to HV. That too they booked it without my consented time slot. Second day at HV, as per defined itinerary, I was supposed to go to North Bay, but they changed it to another place without asking me. Marketing/Sales guy sold me some confirmed sight seeing plan and the onsite coordinator at Andamans wasn't informed. So, I had to make many phone calls and time was running out for second day trip. Sales guy doesnt even responds to phone calls once he sold the deal to me. The most problematic is phone signals are not good, so we have to shout when we speak. Mobile Data doesnt work, so forget about WhatsApp communication. I was stuck and helpless. Port Blair - PB coordinator didnt agree to take me to North Bay and told me to speak to Sales guy at Travel Triangle or Kolkatta office. SECOND DAY SCREWED UP in this mess and arguments with Port Blair coordinator. At PB, the driver, "SWITCHED OFF the CAR A/c" and was pranking me saying A/c is ON, but it was only the blower. He treated me, as if, I am coming from a village and never sat in a car, in my life. Then I shouted on him, to start the car ignition, so that A/c also works. So, THIRD DAY also screwed up. FOURTH DAY, for my ferry from HV to Neil, they didnt give me the tickets. They just SMSed me. That too was wrong time slot. First they told 10.00am ferry and after sometime they told 8.30am ferry. The local guy at Neil and one driver, BOTH guys "SWITCHED OFF their PHONES" just before one night of my travel from HV to Neil. The reason given to me was some lame excuse. So, I didnt knew what was the truth or when to go to Jetty to take my ferry. My family and we were in panic state of missing the ferry. I was told, Neil coordinator will be at Jetty with my tickets. That guy didnt come, didnt even call. I just got SMS. Then I had to stand in queue to get the SMS PNR converted to actual tickets. When I arrived at Neil, my first day at Neil itinerary was not honored by the local coordinator. They told, THEY have decided, I shud take rest on the first day at Neil and they will not take me anywhere on first day. So essentially, SOMEONE ELSE was deciding what I am supposed to do on my holiday. They wanted to save their cost and wanted me to club two places on second day at Neil. But, I had already paid for 3 separate days for 3 separate places. Time was running out for SUNSET on day one at Neil and cab didnt come till 4.00pm, so I had booked my own cab and made payment INR 2000. This day also went in TENSION. Finally, I had to reach out to his manager, Tanmay at Kolkatta who understood my problem. He was helpful and took calls promptly. Tanmay also extended support on my last day for some dinner at PB and arranged for Night show tickets at PB Cellular Jail. Though at the end of trip, Tanmay got me paid INR 2000 by one of his PB coordinators. All this cover up was good by Tanmay, but by this time, my family was already upset with Da Ocean/ Travel Triangle. Becos we had a lot of hassle. Very poor communication and mismanagement. Now coming to Trip Advisor of Travel Traingle, the so called Corporate Travel Service providers. When the person wanted me to make payment and finalize the deal, they called me almost every day, sent me 3~4 messages on WhatsApp till 9.00pm that night chasing me for payment. Once I made payment, they told thanks and went absconding. After that, when I arrived at Andamans, No response to phone calls, no response to WhatsApp. Just vanished! What pathetic attitude, when the customer is in problem! The worst part is, these guys and Travel Triangle as well, WANT ALL THE ADVANCE PAYMENT. We trusted you, but you broke our trust. You dont know what is customer service. You just want money in ADVANCE. When we paid you full advance INR 34,000 (17K + 17K), and then why all this petty peanuts savings. I was FORCED to make ADVANCE balance payment, when I arrived at Andamans, else they told "NO CAB SERVICE". I went to Andamans and spent so much money for some peace of mind. But you guys screwed it, by such low-mindset attitude of petty savings approach. Except Tanmay, all folks were just hopeless and insensitive!

Aniket's 8 days trip to Vietnam

The trip was very good. Everything was planned well except few things. At Bana hills we had to leave the place an hour early from the schedule time in the itinerary. That place is huge and even a full day would be less to explore it. But we were given only few hours to see all the things and so we had to rush to all the places there. The room on the cruise at halong bay was smaller than what was shown in the itinerary. Infact the cruise itself was changed so what I checked while making the booking was of no use. Though the was not bad but I think I paid for something even better. The activities planned on the cruise was not the same as mentioned on the itinerary. So they should mention what is actually going to happen there. I had lot of expectations but didn't get those experiences. Again at Hanoi city tour, all the places mentioned in the itinerary was not covered something else was shown to us which was not mentioned. At Hanoi they booked a business hotel for us which mostly has two single beds. So on our 1st night of stay those bed were joined together which was not at all comfortable. Later we requested to change the room and after returning from halong bay we got a new room which was a lot smaller than the previous one with a double bed. Instead we could have been booked a different hotel of same standard which is not a business hotel. Apart from this the trip was well. We covered most of the important places in Vietnam. We were given a hotel in Hoi An instead of Da Nang which was a great suggestion we loved the place and even the hotel there was good.
