About Mukteshwar Temple in Nainital

One of the best places to visit around Nainital, the Mukteshwar Temple has a strong religious connection with the Hindu culture. The temple is situated at an altitude of 2286 meters above the sea level in the lap of the magnificent Kumaon hills. However one has to cover some about 50 kilometers distance from Nainital to visit this temple. The Mukteshwar Temple Nainital is known for the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva who is worshipped there. The temple at the Mukteshwar Dham is about 350 years old and is considered as one of the most peaceful places that is ideal for meditation. The temple is situated on the campus of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute and is at one of the highest points of the town.

The Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple also houses the Hindu deities Brahma and Vishnu. The Mukteshwar Mandir is considered to be one of the top 18 Shiva temples across India. The Shiv Linga at the Mukteshwar Shiva temple is completely made of marble and is considered to be highly religious by the Hindu worshippers. Every year there is a thick tourist flow to the Mukteshwar Dham to visit the temple and the tourists seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. The Mukteshwar temple in Nainital is one of the vital places of worship by the Hindus. In the campus, a lot of research works pertaining to animals are undertaken at the IVRI. However, the headquarters of IVRI was shifted from Mukteshwar.

The Mukteshwar ancient Shiva temple is situated in the lap of nature. It is also widely known for the breathtaking views that the tourists can get from the hill top. One can also a clear glimpse of the Nanda Devi peak, the second largest peak in the country from this Mukteshwar Temple near Nainital. The climate at the Mukteshwar Dham remains cool throughout the year owing to the high altitude location of the same. The place receives very heavy rainfall during the monsoons whereas, during the summers and the winters, the rainfall is moderate. The monsoons last from July to September. However, the best time to visit the Mukteshwar Temple is during the summers when the tourists can get a relief from the scorching heat and enjoy the breathtaking sceneries at the town.

Tourists visiting the Mukteshwar Mandir can also visit a new park developed by TERI. The park is named as the ‘Renewable Park’ and is known to use the solar energy for all energy consuming activities. Of late, there has been a lot of migrants into the city in search of a peaceful place for spending a life. The Mukteshwar Temple Nainital is well connected to Nainital and other nearby cities through well-maintained roadways. Tourists can avail share taxis or private taxi service to reach Mukteshwar Dham as well. The Mukteshwar town is quite small with about 2000 local people. watching the scenic views and the sunrise and sunset here at Mukteshwar has a charm of its own. The irrigation works on the hill slopes are carried out by cutting lands out of the slopes. The potato and fruit cultivation works are carried out at Mukteshwar using similar processes.

      Thanks a lot. Our Nainital tour is concluded without much issues except the car and te driver. The driver was well behaved but he was NOT familiar with the area due to which we had to waste lot of time. It took approx 11 hours to reach Ranikhet, we therefore, had to skip all sightseeing there. The brakes of the Innova failed which would have led to major disestor if it happened on hills. The brake pads were found badly worn out, Which could have been replaced at the time of its routine service, which would be happening every 10/15 days on the basis of its running. Hotel Corbett View Resort is too Good for its cottages & Sevices

      Support issue in-between the trip. Remaining all are good . Unable to attend all the point driver don't know the point so need to ask local person ..Old cab which is not allowed in Delhi (dirver is good) We enjoy a lot but need more support from travel triangle . RAJAT GOYAL FROM FLYVIGO WAS COORDINATING WITH US WITH WHOM 4 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVING RANIKHET WE HAD ASKED HIM TO CANCEL OUR RANIKHET BOOKINGS AND EXTEND OUR STAY ONE DAY AT NAINITAL TO WICH HOTEL WAS OK , I HAVE THE CALL RECORDINGS AND WHATS APP COMMUICATION FOR THE SAME .HE DID NOT CANCEL RANIKHET BOOKING NOR DID HE CONFIRM OUR HOTEL IN NAINITAL FOR EXTENSION AND WE HAD TO PAY 13000RS EXTRA FOR NO REASON.WE HVE SENT A NOTICE REGARDING SAME TO FLYVIGO AND WOULD FILE A COMPLAINT IN CONSUMER COURT AS I HAVE ALL CALL RECORDINGS AND MY INSTRAUCTIONS TO CANCEL RANIKHET ON WHATS APP. HE DID NOT DO HIS JOB NOR DID HE COORDINATE PROPERLY LEADING TO US PAYING 13000/- RS WHICH IS SIZEABLE AMOUNT. SUGGEST DO NOT KEEP FLYVIGO ON YOUR PANEL.MR RAJAT IS EXTREMELY NON COOPERATIVE AND HAS SIDE DEALS WITH THE HOTELS SPECIFICALLY WITH NAINITAL HOTEL . MY WIFE HAS GON THROUGH MENTAL AGONY DUE TO THIS DURNG THE TRIP DUE TO MR RAJAT GOYAL AND WE ARE WRITING TO TOURISM MINISTRY AS WELL ON THIS TYPE OF FRAUD ACTIVITY BY FLYVIGO SPECIFICALLY RAJAT GOYAL. WILL WAIT FOR CONSUMER COURT TO DECIDE ON THE FATE OF MONER LOST AND MENTAL TRAUMA FACED.
