Nainital Travel Guide

The enchanting Nainital tourism acknowledges people from all around the world. Tourism in Nainital gives one an opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Owing to the numerous lakes scattered all over; amidst the ice – capped mountains and hills, Nainital is specifically known as the “City of Lakes”. The name Nainital, too, has been owned from the famous Naini Lake situated at the core of the district.

Nainital tourism is all about obseving the resplendent grace of far stretching plains from the elegant mountain peaks. The magnificent view of the pear- shaped, out – stretching lake, guarded by the tall pine bushes on the high rising hills, is something worth a vacation here. The cold waters of the lake readily offer the best boat rides, nurturing every sailor in her lap, with immense peace and rejuvenation. From providing the best week’s stay to dining alfresco for overnight, tourism in Nainital justifies every visit with all the better reasons.

Nainital harbors a number of wildlife sanctuaries and shining tall among them is the famous Jim Corbett National Park, which is an essential part of Nainital tourism. Also known as the Lake District, Nainital attracts the soul of many travelers to the viewpoint of Sattal, which is formed by the conjecture of seven lakes – all portraying a distinct shade of green through its water. Besides this, tourism in Nainital also includes a visit to the floating restaurants on the Bhimtal Lake.

The halt to all the activities in the city is hosted by the Mall Road, which was established by the British during their rule. Apart from this, the Tiffin Top stands tall at nearly 2290m above the sea level anchoring supreme picnic spots. The thorough details of many interesting histories are successfully disclosed to the visitors by the experienced Nainital travel guides there. The place also invites everyone to take a glimpse of the extraordinary view of the ice- capped mountains at the Snow View Point, which is elevated at 2270 m altitude.

Among the many destinations here, Nainital tour guide promises a day tour to Nanda Devi Temple, which counts amongst the “64 Shakti Peeths”.The other religious visits would be to the eminent temples of Pashan Devi Temple lying exactly opposite to the Mall Road, the mighty Hanuman Garhi quivering with the sunrise and sunset points, the oldest St. John’s Church sheltering worshippers since 1844, etc. Quenching the thirst for hikers, Nainital tourism includes a trek to the mighty Guano Hills too.

The month of September books the place for one of the most ritualistic fairs known as Nanda Devi Mela. This is the hugest fair held there and is rejoiced by not only the occupants of the Kumaon foothills but also in other valleys of the majestic Himalayas.

The travel guide to Nainital also welcomes the tourists to the Sharad Utsav in October, delighted with several cultural events and functions. Assisted by Nainital tourism, witness the existing innocence of the place with the festival of PhholDeli, abiding by which, the maidens decorate the main entrance of their homes with the first flower of the season. Also stand closer and observe the serene wildlife in the heart of Nainital, with sanctuaries like Eco Cave Garden, High Altitude Zoo, Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary.

Meenakshi's 4 days trip to Nainital

Lack of communication between the travel agent, hotel and the cab driver, driver was not even informed about the hotel name, in the second hotel we stayed no preparations were made, and the hospitality we received was very poor, the payment from the travel agent to the hotel was not made until we finished the Jeep safari, even though it's a internal issue between hotel and agent but the hotelier wasn't treated us well wherein we have paid the full amount.

I had asked for innova, but got a different vehicle for the first day. The agent only calls and discuses for making payment, doesn't even bother to check even after complaining whether i got the right vehicle. Hotel room is not as shown in photo.geyser had some issues,it's a budget hotel don't go by the photos in net. May be the complete Lakeview room is good so don't opt for semi.i think the photos they have kept in site is of only full Lakeview.

Govind's 7 days trip to Nainital

The trip was well planned and executed by Carlos travels..The CAB and the driver were amicable and good. The hotel in Nainital was Very Good in terms of Location, food, Room comfort and Quality etc., but the hotels provided in Corbett were void of basic amenities, not clean and no water in the wash rooms. The Hotel in Haridwar were also the same where I had to call to remind them about keeping the basic amenities in the wash rooms and rooms. The Hotel in mussoorie was good but since there was a festival, we had a tough time taking all the luggages and walking roughly half a KM to board the Hotel CAB. Would have planned it better. Overall, had mixed feelings and reaction of the trip. The Itinerary was cleanly followed and executed appropriately missing no places. The Coordinator of Travel Triangle was not reachable when needed and the same for Carlos Travels which they promised to be available. We faced a tough time without this coordination. Had to arrange the safari, hotel issues and other issues on trip myself....The coordination could have been better. Special thanks to Mr. raj from Carlos, who pitched in at the right time when we were stranded to help us out....

Das's 6 days trip to Nainital

    1. Very late response from the agent, after the first booking amount is paid the travel agent named tanvi made no contact. We ourself had to contact with her and just before every installment she contacted and made some progress. 2. I personally asked them to book hotels near mall road, but amarra resort was first preference which they first confirmed over email that hotels are booked but later just few days before travel they confirmed that ammara has no rooms. Which they made a false promise. 3. Behaviour of the agents was good. 4. They are very unprofessional as they made a vague itenary where they added kaushani which is far away from nainital and we could not make it. 5. Hotels were good but far away from center. Evening walk at mall road was mentioned which was never possible after reaching hotels. Cygnett was 21 km away from mall road and bulaakh was 6 km away. 6. There was no coordination between vendor, cab driver and travel agents. Our driver was not even aware of ranikhet in the beginning and when said so travel agent ivan started blaming the driver and we had to keep quite. 7. Driver was well behaved and seemed more professional when vendor asked him to take us to ranikhet he immediately agreed. 8. We even had to stop payment of the last installment because the itenary was worse, no coordination between anyone involved. 9. I believe the itenary should have times mentioned as well. 10. Travel agent Ivan even used our cab one day which we were fine and then again asked to take ride to dhanaulti which our driver denied because because of the travel agents personal use he had to drive twice same day to mall road from bulaakh resort and again come back to take us to mall road. Thanks! Beautiful mountain and chilling weather.
