Adventure Activities Siem Reap
An iconic retreat town in northwest Cambodia, Siem Reap finds itself right in the center of the country’s tourism. Being the gateway city to the world-famous, legendary temple of Angkor Wat, what to do in Siem Reap in 3 days is a question not a lot of people worry about. So even after the travellers are done with the traditional visits to the temples, there are still places to discover, diners to eat in and shops to indulge in retail therapy.
Here are the different things to do in Siem Reap for those who want, a complete experience of the lovely town.
1. Enjoy the circus - Phare Ponleu Selpak
Not the first thing one expects on a foreign country trip, but the circus show of Phare Ponleu Selpak is not to be missed. It is one of the best things to do in Siem Reap at night, once the temple visits are over. The famous spectacle tells a fascinating story through acrobatics, trapeze, music, dance, drama, comedy and an eclectic range of performing arts for a couple of hours to entertain guests. What makes it more impressive is that the establishments hire performers straight out of their own performing arts school where they provide an opportunity for education and future employment for unprivileged children. The show brings a perfect mix of traditional Khmer style weaved into a contemporary flavor to it, as popularised by the famous Cirque du Soleil of Canada.
2. Take zip line tour – Flight of the Gibbon
Within the Angkor National Park, there is an exciting, adrenaline-pumping zip line tour by Flight of the Gibbon that takes you over the jungle canopy through ten zip lines. The two-hour course covers four hanging sky-bridges, a fifty-meter abseil, and 21 platform stations. Staying true to its name, there might be a possibility of spotting a few gibbons as well. Lunch is served as a part of the tour. This must be on one’s itinerary if one is looking for things to do in Siem Reap in 2 days.
3. See and shop true Angkor Handicraft
Angkor Handicraft Association has set up its whole organization to be a non-profit, where all the proceeds go for supporting the local community and for sustaining the indigenous art and craft. Visitors can see for themselves in the Fair Trade Village how the local artisans handcraft the artifacts with care and devotion. Bags, jewelry, scarves, decorative items, paintings – everything here is made from scratch with the labor and sweat of the local craftspeople. Shopping in Siem Reap is an amazing experience in itself.
4. Get a fish pedicure
If this activity sounds new and crazy, then you have been missing out on the latest obsession in beauty care – the fish pedicure. Small fish are used in this pedicure, and they nibble off the dead skin of the feet. It might feel uncomfortable, to begin with, if someone is doing it for the first time, but once it grows on, the experience is quite quirky yet refreshing. The Temple Town is full of such fish pedicure spas for both men and women. When one wonders what to do in Siem Reap in 3 days, one can add this to their to-do list.
5. Ride the hot air balloon over Angkor Wat
Hot air balloon ride in Siem Reap are of two types – one stays tethered to a point and offers a solo angular view of the Angkor Wat, another takes you around the city of Siem Reap stopping at abrupt points, providing a wider, breathtakingly beautiful view of Cambodia’s heart. If the temple and its surrounding greenery looked majestic from down below, it would look surreal from up in the sky on a giant hot air balloon. It is one of the best things one can do as Siem Reap adventure activities.
Hot Air Balloon In Siem Reap
The temples of Angkor look fascinating from the ground. Imagine how strikingly imperial it might look from up above in the sky. Hot air balloon Cambodia allows the visitors of Angkor to catch a glimpse of the majestic architectures from the elevated vantage point. This would be a lifetime experience and not something one ca...

She had planned our Itinerary very meticulously considering our comforts best of the locations. Hotel provided in Cambodia was a superb experience. Hotels in Saigon and Hanoi was also very good to stay but it was more like city hotel in a busy street. Sophie you were simply excellent. Thanks for egg Coffee at Hanoi. In all you gave us our best moments. Thanks.

Trip to CambodiaGuides were not of our expectations except cambodia guide and the last one on Mekong delta.. otherwise guides provided were not excellent in English and not knowing their own history very well.. Tour of Cambodia was awesome as hotel, guide, car, driver all were known their work well and were of good help.. else in Vietnam, people were little harsh and lacking punctuality.

Trip to CambodiaSophie from Bamboo Hat Tours organised my trip wonderfully ! I felt so safe ! Thank you !!!! Will definitely visit again ! I had a blast ! The tour guides were supper friendly and helpful ! I had no problems and found a beautiful Indian restaurant right opposite my hotel ! The country is simply beautiful
Trip to VietnamMy trip to Vietnam and Cambodia was arranged by Eric from Asia Authentic Travel. He was absolutely amazing and ensured that all pick ups and group tours are hassle free and conducted on time. The hotels were centrally located and very close to the market place, at the same time the hussle bustle of the streets did not reach the room. Eric was constantly in touch and ensured that all services are provided with minimal efforts on out part. However, the India team of Travel Triangle has much to improve (they are non-responsive and not clued into changes in the itinerary etc. and require immense follow-ups).
