About James Bond Island in Phuket

The famous landmark of the place Phang Nga Bay is the James Bond Island.

The reason behind this peculiar name is its importance as a character in the James Bond Movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. Since then, it has marked itself to be a prominent place of attraction on the world map. It is not only because of this movie that it has retained its loyal tourist base. It is also replete with nature and its byproducts. Also, the James Bond Island Thailand is known for the limestone cliffs that stand out from the green waters.

Kao Phing Kan and Ko Tapu were two small islets, known for their awesome beauty. Since 1974, after their beauty was revealed to the entire world in the movie, they are popularly known as James Bond Island. Phang Nga Bay is a home to about 100 islands but the reason why James Bond Island Phuket is more popular is its rocky and rough terrains. This is a beauty of another kind which has been attracting tourists from all over the world. It also comes under the newly formed Ao Phang Nga Marine National Park. The place is basically a huge piece of rock with small caves here and there, which make the place all the way more tempting to explore.

The best part about James Bond Island Thailand is its flora and fauna. The mangrove forests and the abundance of marine life make it more appealing to the masses. James Bond Island activities also include zooming around the islands and the caves by a speedboat or a long-tail boat. Relaxing on the boat or swimming in the calm waters is also a favourite thing to do. Who would also want to miss paddling along the lagoons and the caves and get wowed by the topography of the Ice Cream cave?
