History of Devikulam

With its mention in the epic Ramayan, the hill station of Devikulam was named after the goddess Sita. The name of the hill station also means, ‘the lake of goddess’. The folklores tell that Goddess Sita and Lord Ram came down to frolic in this lake during their exile period.
