About Jomtien Beach in Pattaya

Jomtien beach Pattaya is what the Pattaya beach used to be back in the 90s. The Jomtien beach often referred to as Chom Thian in the local language is in a town of the same name located 3 km south from its world-famous cousin. While the Pattaya beach has become the hotspot for tourists and now thrives from its foreign visitors, Jomtien lives an entirely different life. The ‘Thai’ beach is home to the local Thai tourists who want to spend a weekend away from their routine lives and those from Bangkok looking to escape the hustle of city life. This small town and its 6 km long beach are more spacious than the beach of Pattaya offering enough space for everyone. Jomtien beach Thailand offers much cheaper accommodation and restaurants offering just Thai cuisine which sits well with the local population as the restaurants in Pattaya have taken their focus away from purely Thai cuisine. This southern beach is very famous among the Thai tourists and offers the foreign tourists a peek into the actual Thai culture that is not trying to woo over foreign customers for its attractions and business.

Jomtien beach activities include Watersports and are famous for the numerous sponsored water sports events held annually like the Jet Ski world cup. One can find some solace and peace in the botanical gardens and get the adrenaline pumping in the water parks. The open-air restaurants of Jomtien are filled with visiting Thai families eating some of the best Thai delicacies in the sunset reminding you of what tourism are actually about and how commercialisation can take away the character from a tourist spot. When visiting Jomtien one cannot miss the D Varee Jomtien Beach Pattaya hotel, a 38 storey hotel located on the Jomtien beach offering breathtaking a view of the beach and a place of wonder in its own right.
