Skydiving in Pattaya

Experience Skydiving in Pattaya and get the rush

Rated 4.40/5 ( based on 6534 reviews )

TravelTriangle Editorial Team | Last updated: July 2026 | Based on 40 lakh+ trips planned since 2011

A tandem skydive in Pattaya throws you out of a plane at 13,000 feet, the highest jump in Thailand, for about THB 9,450 to 10,500 (roughly Rs 23,200 to 25,700) per person. You fall for around 60 seconds at close to 200 km/h, strapped to a certified instructor, then drift for about five minutes under the parachute over the Gulf of Thailand coastline, the islands off Jomtien, and the Pattaya skyline. No experience is needed, most of a day is enough, and the drop zone sits in Sriracha, about 25 km north of the city. Below is what it costs in rupees, how it compares with Dubai and Chiang Mai, what happens on jump day, and how to book.

Skydiving in Pattaya at a glance

Price from: THB 8,900 to 10,500 per person (about Rs 21,800 to 25,700) for a standard tandem jump

Jump altitude: 13,000 feet, the highest tandem skydive in Thailand

Freefall: about 60 seconds, then roughly 5 minutes under the parachute

Drop zone: Sriracha, about 25 km north of Pattaya (Gulf coast), run by Thai Sky Adventures

Best time: November to April (dry season); morning slots, hotel pickup around 07:00 or 10:00

Who can jump: Tandem from age 12 with written parental consent, 18 on your own signature; weight cap around 100 kg

What skydiving in Pattaya is really like

Pattaya is the go-to spot for skydiving in Thailand because it pairs the country's highest jump with a coastline view. You climb for about 15 to 20 minutes, and at 13,000 feet the door opens. The first 60 seconds are freefall: a hard rush of wind, the ground a long way off, your instructor handling the exit and the timing. Then the canopy opens near 5,000 feet and the noise stops. For roughly five quiet minutes you can actually look around at the Gulf of Thailand, the beaches, and the city grid below before you land back at the drop zone. First-timers do this as a tandem jump, harnessed to a licensed instructor who controls the whole descent, so you need no prior training to sign up.

Freefall vs tandem: which one you are booking

Almost everyone visiting Pattaya books a tandem jump. You are attached to an instructor for the entire fall, which is why no experience is required and why it is the safest way to try the sport. A solo freefall jump is a different thing entirely: it is for people who already hold a licence and want to jump on their own, and it usually means a course or proof of certification first. If this is your first jump, tandem is the answer.

Skydiving in Pattaya price in 2026 (THB and rupees)

The live cost of a standard tandem skydive in Pattaya runs from about THB 8,900 to 10,500 per person. Booking as a larger group brings the per-head price down, while adding a handcam video or photos pushes it up. The table below shows the current 2026 packages with an approximate rupee conversion at Rs 2.45 to the baht, so Indian travellers can budget without doing the maths at the counter.

Package What you get Price (THB) Approx (Rs)
Standard tandem jump 13,000 ft jump, tandem instructor, all gear, ~20-min scenic flight 9,450 to 10,500 23,200 to 25,700
Group rate (10+ per person) Same tandem jump, booked as a large group from 8,900 from 21,800
Tandem + handcam video Above, plus an edited video of your jump about 13,250 about 32,500
Deluxe: video + photos Above, plus a set of digital stills about 15,250 about 37,400
Licensed / own-gear jump Slot and lift only, for certified skydivers on their own equipment from 750 from 1,850

Rupee figures are approximate and move with the exchange rate. For a fuller rupee-by-rupee breakdown of what a jump costs an Indian traveller, see our skydiving in Pattaya entry fees and ticket price guide. Prices are set by the operator and can change, so confirm the final figure when you book.

Where you jump: Thai Sky Adventures and the Sriracha drop zone

The drop zone for skydiving in Pattaya is in Sriracha, about 25 km north of the city on the Gulf coast, run by Thai Sky Adventures, the operator that dominates tandem skydiving in the area. It is a short transfer up the coast, not a remote inland trip, and the flight path gives you the ocean, the offshore islands, and the Pattaya skyline on the way down. Older listings that name several separate "spots" around town are out of date; today the tandem experience runs from this single certified drop zone. Instructors are certified, the aircraft climbs to 13,000 feet, and the whole operation is built around getting first-timers through their jump safely.

Pattaya vs Dubai vs Chiang Mai: which skydive is worth it

If you are deciding where in the region to jump, the three names that come up are Pattaya, Dubai, and Chiang Mai. All three jump from around 13,000 feet with about a minute of freefall, so the real difference is the view, the price, and how easy it is to reach. Pattaya is the budget pick with an ocean backdrop and an easy hop from Bangkok. Dubai is the bucket-list splurge over the Palm. Chiang Mai trades the coast for northern mountains.

  Pattaya Dubai Chiang Mai
Jump altitude 13,000 ft 13,000 ft 10,000 to 13,000 ft
Tandem price THB 8,900-10,500 (Rs 21,800-25,700) AED 1,999-2,299 (Rs 46,000-53,000) THB 9,000-12,000 (Rs 22,000-29,400)
The view Gulf coastline, islands, Pattaya skyline Palm Jumeirah, coast and desert Northern mountains, forest, rice terraces
Drop zone Sriracha, ~25 km N of Pattaya Palm / Desert Campus drop zone Near Chiang Mai city
Best for Budget + ocean views, easy from Bangkok The iconic backdrop, if budget is no object Mountain scenery, quieter jumps

Read simply: Pattaya is the cheapest of the three and the only one that puts an ocean and city skyline under you, which is why it is the value choice for a first jump in Southeast Asia. Dubai is roughly twice the price for a desert-and-Palm backdrop. Chiang Mai costs a little more than Pattaya and swaps the sea for mountains. All three are genuine 13,000-foot tandem jumps, so no one is short-changing you on the freefall.

What happens on jump day

A skydive in Pattaya takes most of a morning once you count the transfer. Here is the order of the day so there are no surprises.

1. Hotel pickup. A van collects you from your Pattaya or Jomtien hotel, usually around 07:00 or 10:00, for the short drive to the Sriracha drop zone.

2. Check-in and waiver. You register, weigh in, and read and sign the liability waiver. Come with a clear head and do not jump straight after a heavy meal.

3. Briefing and gear-up. A short ground briefing covers body position and what to do at the door. Your instructor fits your harness and checks it.

4. The climb. You board a small aircraft and climb for about 15 to 20 minutes to 13,000 feet.

5. Freefall. The door opens, you exit attached to your instructor, and you fall for roughly 60 seconds at close to 200 km/h.

6. Canopy ride. The parachute opens near 5,000 feet. For about five minutes you glide quietly over the coast before setting up to land.

7. Landing and back. You land back at the drop zone, collect your video or photos if you bought them, and the van returns you to your hotel by early afternoon.

Requirements, safety and what to wear

Tandem skydiving is open to almost anyone in reasonable health, but there are a few limits worth checking before you book.

Age: You must be at least 18 to jump on your own signature. Younger jumpers can go tandem from age 12 with written parental consent.

Weight: There is a weight cap of roughly 100 kg for a tandem jump, mainly for harness and canopy safety.

Health: If you have a heart condition, recent surgery, a back or neck problem, or you are pregnant, check with the operator (and a doctor) first.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes and closed, laced sports shoes. No sandals or flip-flops. Goggles and a jumpsuit are provided.

On the day: Do not skydive right after eating and do not overeat beforehand. Leave valuables at the hotel or in the lockers, and read the waiver properly before you sign.

Jumps are run by certified tandem instructors, gear is checked before every flight, and the operator holds the flight if the weather turns. That last point matters: wind and rain can push your slot, so keep the day flexible and, where the policy allows, book a package with a free-cancellation or reschedule window.

Best time to skydive in Pattaya

The dry season, roughly November to April, is the best window. Skies are clearer, the sea breeze is gentler, and there are far fewer weather cancellations, which means your booked slot is much more likely to actually fly. The monsoon months from about May to October bring heavier rain and more wind holds, so if you travel then, book early in your trip and leave a spare day in case your jump is pushed. Whatever the season, morning slots are the safest bet: the air is calmer and cancellations climb as the day heats up.

Skydiving-inclusive Pattaya and Thailand packages

If skydiving is the highlight of a bigger trip, it slots neatly into a Pattaya itinerary alongside the beaches, the islands, and the city's other adventure activities. A tailored package can fold the jump in with your hotel, airport transfers, and the rest of your days so you are not booking each piece separately.

Browse Pattaya tours and things to do, compare Thailand tour packages, or pair the jump with a day trip to Coral Island and other things to do in Pattaya such as bungee jumping.

Skydiving in Pattaya is the value bucket-list jump of the region: Thailand's highest tandem at 13,000 feet, an ocean-and-skyline view, and a price in rupees well under Dubai's. Book a morning slot in the dry season, pack closed shoes, and keep the day flexible for weather. When you are ready to fit it into a wider trip, browse our Pattaya tours and Thailand tour packages.

His commitment was commendable. We took 4 night 5 days package. The hotels we stayed were fortunately good. Cab serv

Like we had a bangkok city tour in our package but reclining budha/watarun temple was not part of it. Better to have it included in basic packages which would improve customer satisfaction. But overall it was a good and hustle free experience.

    Pattaya Travel FAQs

How much does skydiving in Pattaya cost?

A standard tandem skydive in Pattaya costs about THB 9,450 to 10,500 per person, roughly Rs 23,200 to 25,700. Large groups can bring the per-head price down to around THB 8,900, while adding a handcam video takes it to about THB 13,250 and a deluxe video-and-photos package to around THB 15,250. Prices are set by the operator and can change, so confirm the final figure when you book.

How much does skydiving in Pattaya cost for Indians in rupees?

At roughly Rs 2.45 to the baht, a standard tandem jump works out to about Rs 21,800 to 25,700 per person. Add a video and it climbs to around Rs 32,500, and a full video-and-photos package to about Rs 37,400. The rupee figure moves with the exchange rate, so treat these as a budgeting guide rather than a fixed price.

Is Pattaya skydiving cheaper than Dubai or Chiang Mai?

Yes. Pattaya is the cheapest of the three at about THB 8,900 to 10,500 (Rs 21,800 to 25,700). Skydive Dubai costs around AED 1,999 to 2,299, roughly Rs 46,000 to 53,000, about double. Chiang Mai is a little pricier than Pattaya at about THB 9,000 to 12,000. All three jump from around 13,000 feet, so Pattaya gives you the same freefall over an ocean-and-city view for the lowest price.

    Is skydiving in Pattaya safe?

Tandem skydiving in Pattaya is run by certified instructors who control the whole jump, with gear checked before every flight and jumps held when the weather is bad. You are harnessed to your instructor from exit to landing, which is why no experience is needed. As with any adventure sport there is inherent risk, but the tandem setup and the operator's safety checks make it one of the more controlled ways to jump.

Is skydiving in Pattaya worth it?

For most first-timers, yes. Pattaya offers Thailand's highest jump at 13,000 feet, an ocean-and-skyline view you will not get inland, and a price well below Dubai. You get about 60 seconds of freefall and five minutes under the canopy. If a bucket-list skydive with a coastline backdrop appeals and the budget works, it is hard to beat in the region.

What is the weight and age limit for skydiving in Pattaya?

Tandem jumps are open from age 12 with written parental consent, and 18 on your own signature. There is a weight cap of around 100 kg for harness and canopy safety. If you are near the limit or have a health condition, check with the operator before booking, as the exact cutoff can vary.

How long does skydiving in Pattaya take?

Plan for most of a morning. Hotel pickup is usually around 07:00 or 10:00, followed by the drive to the Sriracha drop zone, check-in, waiver and briefing. The aircraft climbs for about 15 to 20 minutes, you freefall for around 60 seconds, then glide under the parachute for about five minutes before landing. You are typically back at your hotel by early afternoon.

Where do you jump, and where is the drop zone?

The drop zone is in Sriracha, about 25 km north of Pattaya on the Gulf coast, operated by Thai Sky Adventures. Transfers run from Pattaya and Jomtien hotels. On the way down you get views of the Gulf of Thailand, the offshore islands, and the Pattaya skyline.

What is the highest skydive in Pattaya?

The highest skydive in Pattaya is conducted at 13,000 feet, which is also the highest tandem jump in Thailand. From that altitude you get roughly 60 seconds of freefall before the parachute opens at about 5,000 feet.

What is the best time to skydive in Pattaya?

The dry season from November to April is best, with clearer skies and far fewer weather cancellations. Morning slots are calmer and less likely to be held. The May to October monsoon brings more rain and wind, so if you travel then, book early in your trip and keep a spare day in case your jump is rescheduled.

What should I wear, and do I need goggles?

Wear comfortable clothes and closed, laced sports shoes, not sandals. The operator provides goggles and a jumpsuit, so you do not need your own. Leave valuables at the hotel or in the lockers, and avoid a heavy meal right before your jump.

Can the jump be cancelled, and will I get a refund?

A jump can be called off for weather, and if the plane has already taken off and the jump is aborted mid-flight, a refund is usually not given. Where the operator or booking platform offers a free-cancellation or reschedule window, use it, and confirm the bad-weather policy before you pay so you know where you stand.
