Things to do in Pattaya
Indulge in nightlife and adventure, like never before!
Rated 4.40/5 ( based on 6533 reviews )
Parasailing In Pattaya
Parasailing in Pattaya clips you into a harness under a bright canopy and tows you up to about 100 metres above the bay behind a speedboat, for roughly 8 to 12 minutes in the air. It is the easiest adventure activity in the city to say yes to: no experience, no fitness and no swimming required. You can take off from Patta...
Skydiving In Pattaya
TravelTriangle Editorial Team | Last updated: July 2026 | Based on 40 lakh+ trips planned since 2011
A tandem skydive in Pattaya throws you out of a plane at 13,000 feet, the highest jump in Thailand, for about THB 9,450 to 10,500 (roughly Rs 23,200 to 25,700) per person. You fall for around 60 seconds at close to 200 km/h...
Snorkeling In Pattaya
Snorkeling in Pattaya means one thing above all: a day trip out to Coral Island (Koh Larn) and the small islands around it, where shallow coral gardens sit a short speedboat ride from the beach. You do not need to dive, and you do not even need to swim well, because life jackets are provided and the best reefs are only a co...
Floating Market In Pattaya
TravelTriangle Thailand Team | Last updated: August 2026
Pattaya Floating Market is the largest man-made floating market in Thailand, spread across 109,270 square metres (about 27 acres) on the Na Kluea side of Pattaya in Chon Buri. Local businessman Warida Sae-eng opened it on 1 November 2008, and it has grown into one of...
Scuba Diving In Pattaya
Scuba diving in Pattaya is the easiest way to dive in Thailand if you are starting out or short on time. The city sits about two hours from Bangkok and has 25-plus dive sites within a 40-minute boat ride, including three sunken navy ships you can swim through. This is not a world-class reef destination, and we will be hones...
Bungee Jumping In Pattaya
TravelTriangle Thailand Team | Last updated: August 2026
Bungee jumping in Pattaya means one thing to most travellers: the 60-metre plunge at Xbungy, also known as Pattaya Bungy Jump, the highest bungee in Thailand. A single jump costs about THB 2,500 (roughly Rs 6,250) and includes your video, a certificate and insurance....
Pattaya packs more into one stretch of coast than almost any beach town in Thailand. You can jump out of a plane at 13,000 feet in the morning, walk through a hand-carved wooden temple in the afternoon, and watch a cabaret show after dinner, all within about 40 minutes of the beachfront. This guide covers 20 things to do in Pattaya across five categories: adventure and water sports, cultural sites and shows, family theme parks, beaches and island day trips, and nightlife. Every entry names who it suits, a ticket price in both Thai baht and Indian rupees, and a link to book it or read the full detail. Prices are current for 2026 and quoted from official operators and ticketing partners.

Adventure and Water Sports
Pattaya built its name on water and adrenaline, and this is still where the biggest, most-booked experiences sit. Prices below are per person and can be bundled into a package.
Skydiving. A tandem skydive over Pattaya drops you from 13,000 feet, the highest jump in Thailand, for about THB 9,450 to 10,500 (roughly Rs 23,200 to 25,700). You freefall for close to 60 seconds strapped to a certified instructor, then float for five minutes over the coast. Check the current skydiving package and entry fees.
Scuba diving. The dive sites cluster around near-shore islands, and the shallow reefs off Koh Sak and Koh Rin suit first dives. A Discover Scuba session for non-divers runs about THB 1,800 (around Rs 4,500), while certified fun-dives cost less. See scuba diving in Pattaya and its entry fees.
Snorkelling. Most snorkelling tours run out to the clear water around Koh Larn rather than the main beach, which can get churned up. Half-day trips start near THB 400 (Rs 1,000) and are the easy option for families and anyone who does not dive.
Parasailing. The quickest thrill on the strip. Boats off Pattaya Beach send you up on a chute for a few minutes over the bay from about THB 400 (Rs 1,000). Agree the price and the number of rounds before you take off.
Bungee jumping. For a bigger jolt, the Pattaya bungee tower and human slingshot both run daily from about THB 2,000 (Rs 5,000). It is a bucket-list tick that costs a fraction of what the same jump would in Europe.
Floating Market. The Pattaya Floating Market recreates four regions of Thailand across a network of wooden waterways and stilted shops. Entry is about THB 200 (Rs 500), with paddle-boat rides and food stalls costing extra. Confirm timings and entry fees before you go.
Cultural Experiences and Shows
Pattaya has a quieter, older side that most first-timers miss. These are the sights to build a daytime around before the bars open.
Sanctuary of Truth. A 105-metre teak temple on the Naklua headland, built entirely without nails and still under construction after four decades. Day entry is THB 500 (about Rs 1,250) and the sunset slot costs THB 700. Read the full Sanctuary of Truth guide for the dress code and hard-hat rule before you arrive.
Alcazar and Tiffany's cabaret. Pattaya's two big cabaret theatres are the polished, family-friendly end of the city's nightlife: an hour of choreographed song and dance in elaborate costumes. Tickets start around THB 450 (Rs 1,100), with up to four shows a night from 5 pm. Book ahead in peak season.
Art in Paradise. A 3D trick-art museum with more than 150 painted backdrops built for photos, where you become part of the scene. Tickets start at about THB 240 (Rs 600). It is the reliable rainy-afternoon plan with kids.
Big Buddha, Wat Phra Yai. The 18-metre golden Buddha on Pratamnak Hill is free to visit and hands you one of the best free viewpoints over the bay. Cover your shoulders and knees to go up to the shrine.
Anek Kusala Sala (Viharnra Sien). A two-storey museum built to mark Thai-Chinese friendship, full of Chinese art and Buddhist and Taoist statues. Entry is around THB 50 (Rs 125) and it suits a slower morning with family.
Family Attractions and Theme Parks
Pattaya is one of the easier Thai cities to travel with children, and most of these sit within a short drive of the beach.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. Five hundred acres of landscaped French and Thai gardens, an orchid nursery, and daily cultural and elephant shows. Foreign-visitor entry is THB 500 for the garden or THB 800 with the shows (about Rs 1,250 to 2,000). Children under 90 cm go free.
Ramayana Water Park. The largest water park in Thailand, off the Sukhumvit road toward Jomtien, with 21 slides and a long lazy river. Gate tickets are THB 1,290, but partner sites sell from about THB 799 (Rs 2,000), and under-106 cm children are free. Plan a full day here.
Underwater World. A walk-through aquarium with a 100-metre glass tunnel, good for an hour with young children out of the heat. Entry is around THB 280 (Rs 700).
Sriracha Tiger Zoo, now Tiger Topia. On the edge of the city, it runs tiger and crocodile shows through the day, with combined entry about THB 299 (Rs 750). Read the Sriracha Tiger Zoo guide for show times and the latest ticket rules.
Mini Siam. Scale models of Thailand's landmarks and world monuments packed into one park. It is a quick photo stop for about THB 300 (Rs 750).
Beaches and Island Day Trips
Coral Island (Koh Larn). The standard Pattaya day trip. A 45-minute ferry costs about THB 30 each way, or a speedboat gets you to the clear water and white sand in 15 minutes. Full-day tours with lunch, transfers and water sports start around THB 799 (Rs 2,000). Read the Coral Island guide to pick the right tour.
Koh Samet. Further south and quieter, Koh Samet trades the crowds for calmer sand. It works better as an overnight than a rushed day trip if you have the time.
Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. Pattaya Beach is the busy central strip for jet-skis and banana boats. Jomtien, just south, is calmer and better for families. Both are free to use. See the Pattaya beaches guide for the best stretches.
Pattaya Nightlife
Walking Street. The loud heart of Pattaya after dark: a pedestrian stretch of bars, clubs, live music and street performers that runs into the early hours. It is free to walk, and you pay only for what you drink or watch. Families tend to keep to the cabaret shows and night markets earlier in the evening. Read the Walking Street guide for what to expect and how to stay safe.
Plan Your Pattaya Trip
Best time to visit. November to February is the dry, cooler window and the easiest for beaches and island trips. March to May turns hot, and the June to October monsoon brings short heavy showers rather than washed-out days. For a month-by-month breakdown, see best time to visit Pattaya.
How to reach Pattaya. Pattaya sits about 147 km southeast of Bangkok, roughly two hours by road from Suvarnabhumi Airport. Buses, private transfers and taxis all run the route through the day. Full options and fares are in the how to reach Pattaya guide.
What a day costs. A budget day of temples, beaches and a market runs about THB 600 to 1,000 (Rs 1,500 to 2,500) per person. A mid-range day with one paid attraction and a show lands near THB 1,500 to 2,500 (Rs 3,700 to 6,200). A big-ticket day built around skydiving or a water park can pass THB 4,000 (Rs 10,000).

Pattaya Travel FAQs
What are the top things to do in Pattaya?
The most-booked experiences are skydiving over the coast, a Coral Island (Koh Larn) day trip, the Sanctuary of Truth wooden temple, the Alcazar or Tiffany's cabaret show, and Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. Families add Ramayana Water Park and Underwater World, while adventure travellers stack scuba diving, parasailing and the floating market. Most visitors fit five or six of these into a two-to-three-day stay.
What is there to do in Pattaya at night?
Walking Street is the main after-dark draw, a free-to-enter stretch of bars, clubs, live music and street performers open into the early hours. For a calmer evening, the Alcazar and Tiffany's cabaret shows run from about 5 pm, and the night markets and beachfront restaurants stay busy. Families usually keep to the cabaret and markets rather than the bar strip.
What are the best things to do in Pattaya with family and kids?
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, Ramayana Water Park and Underwater World are the three easiest wins with children, all a short drive from the beach. Add Art in Paradise for a rainy afternoon, the Sriracha Tiger Zoo (now Tiger Topia) shows, and Mini Siam for a quick photo stop. A Coral Island day trip works for older kids who can swim and snorkel.
How many days do you need in Pattaya?
Two to three days covers the essentials: one day for the beach and a Coral Island trip, one for culture and shows such as the Sanctuary of Truth and a cabaret, and a third for a theme park or an adventure activity like skydiving or scuba. A single overnight is enough only if you are combining Pattaya with Bangkok on a wider Thailand trip.
What is the best time to visit Pattaya?
November to February is the best window, with dry, cooler weather that suits beaches and island trips. March to May is hot and humid, and June to October is the monsoon, though showers are usually short rather than all-day. Prices and crowds peak from December to January, so book activities ahead if you travel then.
How do you get to Pattaya from Bangkok?
Pattaya is about 147 km southeast of Bangkok, roughly two hours by road. Private transfers and taxis run door to door from Suvarnabhumi Airport, and regular buses connect both Bangkok airports and city bus terminals to Pattaya through the day. Most package travellers take a private transfer straight from the airport.
Is Pattaya worth visiting?
Yes, if you want variety in one compact base. Within 40 minutes of the beachfront you can dive, visit temples and 3D museums, take children to water parks, day-trip to islands, and see world-class cabaret. It is busier and more built-up than islands like Krabi, which is exactly why it packs so much into a short stay.
How much does a day of activities in Pattaya cost?
A budget day of temples, beaches and a market costs about THB 600 to 1,000 (Rs 1,500 to 2,500) per person. A mid-range day with one paid attraction and a show is nearer THB 1,500 to 2,500 (Rs 3,700 to 6,200). A day built around a big-ticket activity such as skydiving or a water park can pass THB 4,000 (Rs 10,000).
