Sriracha Tiger Zoo, about a 30-minute drive north of central Pattaya, reopened after 2021 as Tiger Topia Sriracha Zoo, so you will see both names on tickets and maps. It is best known for its Royal Bengal tigers, the tiger and crocodile shows, and a feeding programme where tiger cubs and piglets are raised side by side. About Sriracha Tiger Zoo (Tiger Topia)

Set on the edge of Sriracha, north of Pattaya, the zoo holds one of the largest captive populations of Royal Bengal tigers anywhere in a single place. Alongside the tigers you will find elephants, crocodiles, ostriches, camels, kangaroos and deer, plus a walk-through aviary of tropical birds.

The draw is the mix of live shows and hands-on encounters. The tiger, crocodile and elephant shows run to a set daily timetable, pig racing happens through the afternoon, and the feeding room, where tiger cubs and piglets are fed together, is the part most visitors remember. You can pay extra to feed or hold a cub and have a photo taken. There is also the resident Scorpion Queen, who holds a Guinness World Record for time spent living with scorpions, and a food court with Thai, Indian, Chinese, Korean and Western counters if you are staying for lunch.

It is an animal-handling park rather than a wildlife sanctuary, so the tiger encounters and photo sessions involve close human contact. Worth knowing before you book if that matters to you.

Ticket prices in THB and rupees

The current tiger and crocodile show ticket is priced below, with an approximate rupee value at about Rs 2.85 to the baht. Older listings still quote a THB 450 adult and THB 250 child gate rate from before the Tiger Topia rebrand, so confirm the exact rate at the counter.

The zoo runs 9 am to 4 pm, with last entry at 3:30 pm. Arrive by late morning to line up the tiger and crocodile shows without rushing. The daily timetable below can shift, so check the board at the entrance when you arrive.

How to reach from Pattaya and Bangkok

The zoo sits about 30 minutes by road north of central Pattaya and roughly 90 to 100 km southeast of Bangkok. A taxi or Grab from Pattaya is the simplest option; many visitors fold it into a day trip, and some tour packages include hotel pickup and drop. Best time to visit and visitor tips

• Timing: Go on a weekday morning. It is quieter, and starting early lets you catch the tiger and crocodile shows back to back before the midday heat.

• Families: Children under 140 cm and under 12 enter free, so carry an ID for age if your child is borderline on height.

• Add-ons: The feed, walk and photo experiences are paid add-ons on top of the show ticket. Decide which you want before you go and budget for them separately.

• Practical: Cash in baht is handy for add-ons and the food court. Wear closed shoes and light cotton, and bring a hat for the open show arenas.
