Pattaya Floating Market is proclaimed as the largest artificial floating market in the world made by man. The floating market in was opened to the public in 2008, and it has gained wide popularity over the years as a famous tourist attraction in all over Thailand. Built by a local businessman Warida Sea-eung, the floating market in Pattaya occupies a sprawling area of 1,00,000 square metres. There are four main areas in the floating market which represents the culture and architecture from four different parts of Thailand.
About Four Regions In Floating Market
The floating market in Pattaya is located in Chon Buri and is famous as one of the largest manufactured floating markets in the world. It has become a popular tourist attraction ever since it was built in the year 2008. One of the interesting things about the floating market is that it is divided into four geo-cultural areas which act as a symbol of architecture and values from the four different parts of Thailand. Along with boats and boat rides, you will find several boats ladened with fresh fruits and other food items, and boats with shops where you can purchase specific products.
While there are several shops as floating markets in Pattaya, you can very well start off at the farthest distance which is on the art side of the market. Enjoy the spectacular display of art in the shop and if you like, buy a few souvenirs for your friends. Just make sure to have enough bahts in your pockets!
