Spread over an area of four acres, Tiger Kingdom is located at the base of Patong Hill in Kathu District on Phuket Island. Visitors get an opportunity to go up close with Indochinese tigers, ranging from cubs to adults. Tiger Kingdom in Thailand provides a comfortable and caring environment for tigers of all ages and sizes. The attraction is one of the main highlights of Phuket Island which is also famous for beaches, rainforests, nightlife, and seaside resorts.
Each animal encounter at the Tiger Kingdom in Kathu Phuket allows visitors to spend around 10 minutes inside the enclosure with a chosen Big Cat. For the safety of visitors, all individuals are escorted by trained tiger keepers at all times. There is also a fixed time to feed the tigers. Make sure to visit the place during these feeding hours for a unique experience.
Visitors must follow strict procedures inside Tiger Kingdom like before entering a tiger enclosure, all personal belongings should be kept outside in a locker, and also shoes must be removed. Tourists should turn the flash off while taking pictures or video. Visitors can also take around 50 professional pictures clicked by a photographer at an additional cost of 500 THB.
Bengal Restaurant in Tiger Kingdom offers an à la carte menu including a range of Thai and Western food. There is also a gift shop where visitors can purchase a perfect memento of their animal encounters. Overall, Tiger Kingdom in Thailand can be an adventurous experience as well as an educational one.
