Things To Do at Cherai Beach 

You can either choose to go for a swim to cool off on a hot summer day or indulge in boating. Dolphins can sometimes be seen in the water around the beach. Coconut groves and Chinese fishing nets are what the beach is popularly known for. Located on the western coast in Kerala, you can find people at this beach at all times of the day, just sitting by the edge of the ocean and sunbathing. One can try a plethora of water activities at Cherai beach in Kochi such as snorkeling, canoeing, speedboats, and scooters. One can also fly kites on the beach and indulge in some massage therapies.

1. Backwaters: Cherai is surrounded by many beautiful water bodies such as lakes, lagoons, and canals that together form calm and serene backwaters of Cherai.

2. Paddy Fields: Cherai is known for its remarkable flora and fauna and is known for paddy fields. Cherai is one of the high rice-producing areas in Kochi. 

3. Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple: Gowreeshwara Temple is one of the sacred temples in Cherai and is one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimage centers. 

4. Munamam Breakpoint and Beach: Another famous attraction near Cherai Beach in Kochi is Munamam Breakpoint and Beach. The place is famous for its scenic beauty and beautiful sunsets.

5. Pallipuram Church: The church was built-in the tear 1507 and is one of the oldest temples near Cherai.

6. Pallipuram Fort: Another popular attraction near Cherai is Pallipuram Fort which was built between 1596 to 1605. 

The Cherai Beach in Kochi is in close proximity to the Cherai shops and is a fairly busy, but the clean beach. You can go cycling on the beach by hiring a bike in Cherai. Some areas on the beach are less crowded than the others, so you will have to search a little bit before you find the ideal, peaceful spot for yourself.
