About Regional Science Centre and Planetarium in Kozhikode
Kerala is regarded to be the first Indian state that declared 100% literacy. This happened during the year 1990. No wonder so many efforts are put into the developing and safeguarding of science and many types of research. There is an institute in Kozhikode that promotes science keeping the Malabar region in the center. This place is called the Regional Science Centre and Planetarium. The place came into formation in the year 1997 with a seating capacity of around 250 people all at once. The planetarium has various shows on display bringing the advancements of science to the fore and in the public eye. The Regional Science Centre and Planetarium Kozhikode Kerala organizes hordes of shows every year, precisely 1200 shows. The technology used for the display of the shows is word-class with the projection system hailing from Carl Zeiss in Germany. This system helps in lighting up the entire room and mesmerize the audiences by presenting the many secrets of the science world in the most presentable of the forms.
Attractions at Regional Science Centre and Planetarium Calicut
The planetarium and the science center has many sections for the people to visit and experience. There are Mobile and Traveling Science Exhibitions, Science Exhibition Galleries, and a good quality high-definition 3D theatre. The many popular attractions here include the likes of Giants of Nature and the Aquarium. There are planetarium as well as 3D shows on display here. Each show happens four times a day so that audiences can visit and experience the world of science according to their convenience and availability.
