Palpung Sherabling Monastery

One of the largest Kagyu monasteries in the region, set in deodar forest near Bhattu. It houses a monastic school and six shrine halls and can hold around 500 monks. Quiet, working, and open to respectful visitors.

Tashi Jong Monastery

A small, friendly Tibetan settlement (Khampagar) about 15 km from Palampur, known for its craft workshops and its annual mask dances. Less visited than Dharamshala's monasteries, which is exactly its appeal.

Andretta Village and Sir Sobha Singh Art Gallery
