Thailand Budget Packages: rated 4.4/5 (based on 4929 reviews) | Packages starting from ₹6,056/-
Cheap Thailand Packages at a Glance
Every package here is fully customisable and comes with hotels, airport transfers and sightseeing already bundled in, so the sticker price is close to what you actually pay. You compare options, then get free quotes from multiple verified agents who compete to give you the lowest fare. If you want the full range beyond the budget tier, browse all Thailand tour packages, and for trips capped by price see our Thailand packages under Rs 25,000.
| Starting price | from Rs 9,000 per person (land-only, hotels + transfers + sightseeing) |
| Trip lengths | 3N/4D short breaks up to 6N/7D multi-city tours |
| Package types | budget getaways, family, honeymoon, group and beach island trips |

| Best months for cheap fares | May to October (green season, lowest flights and hotels) |

| Flights | most cheapest quotes are land-only; flight-inclusive bands available on request |
How Much Does a Thailand Trip Cost From India?
A budget Thailand trip from India runs from about Rs 28,000 per person all-in for 5 nights with return flights, or from Rs 9,000 land-only if you book your own flights and just want the ground package. The single biggest cost is airfare, not the hotels. Here is where the money goes on a typical 5-night, 6-day budget trip for one person.
| What you pay for | Budget estimate (per person) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Land package (hotels, transfers, sightseeing) | from Rs 9,000 | The number on our cards |
| Return flights, India to Bangkok | Rs 15,000 to Rs 27,000 | Cheapest May to October |
| Meals not in the package | Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 | About Rs 1,000 a day, street food is cheap |
| Thailand visa | Rs 0 | 30-day visa-free for Indians |
| SIM, local transport, small entry fees | Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 | Grab, songthaews, temple tickets |
| Rough all-in total (flight-inclusive) | from about Rs 28,000 | 5N/6D, one person, budget tier |
Two levers cut this further. Travel in the green season and your flight can drop by a third. Base yourself in Pattaya or Bangkok instead of the islands, where rooms and food cost less than Phuket or Koh Samui. A 7-day trip does not cost much more than a 5-day one once the flight is paid for, so the extra nights are the best value in the whole budget. For a full destination-wide money guide see our Thailand travel guide.
Best Places to Visit on a Budget Thailand Trip
These five spots carry almost every cheap Thailand itinerary, and you can mix any two or three into one trip. Bangkok and Pattaya are the cheapest bases. The islands cost a little more but are worth one leg of the trip.
Bangkok
Bangkok is the capital and the cheapest place to land, so most budget trips start here. It is known for its temples, above all the Emerald Buddha, and its street life. You can eat your way through the food carts, catch a Chinese opera in the lanes of Chinatown, or just get lost in a neighbourhood for an afternoon. Street meals cost a fraction of a restaurant, which is what keeps Bangkok so cheap.
More on the city in our Bangkok travel guide.
Pattaya
Pattaya is the value pick of the lot, a short drive from Bangkok and packed with beaches, resorts, condos and malls. Because it is so close to the airport it pairs cheaply with Bangkok on a single 4-night trip, which is why our lowest quotes almost always route through here. Coral Island day trips and the evening shows are the big draws.
Phuket
Phuket is a rain-forested island in the Andaman Sea with clear-water beaches, resorts, spas and busy markets. Patong is the town for nightlife: clubs, bars and discos. It costs more than Pattaya, so on a tight budget keep Phuket to two or three nights and spend the rest on the mainland.
Krabi
Krabi is a resort town on the Andaman coast, best known for the Tiger Cave temple on its hilltop, reached by a long stair climb. From here you take a ferry to the Phi Phi islands for a day. Krabi pairs naturally with Phuket, and the two together make the classic budget island leg.
Ko Samui
Ko Samui is the tropical Thai island of palm beaches and resorts, with a lively bar and club scene and cafes dotted through town. It sits further out and costs more to reach, so it is the one to add when you have a week rather than four nights. Read the full Thailand guide before you pick your islands.
Do Indians Need a Visa for Thailand? (2026)
No. Indian passport holders get 30 days visa-free entry into Thailand, so a short budget trip needs no visa fee and no embassy visit. You only fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before you fly, carry a passport valid for at least six months, and be ready to show a return ticket. Because this policy changed twice during 2026, reconfirm the current rule on the official Thai e-visa portal close to your travel date. Fuller detail sits on our Thailand travel guide.
What's Included: Flights, Hotels and Transfers
Our cheapest quotes are usually land-only, meaning they cover hotels, airport pickups and drops, inter-city transfers and the listed sightseeing, but not your India-to-Thailand flight. That is why the Rs 9,000 floor looks so low next to a full holiday price. It is the ground cost, and you add flights on top.
You can also ask for a flight-inclusive package, where the agent books your return airfare with the trip so you pay one figure. Here is what each tier typically covers.
| Tier | Covers | Does not cover | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Land-only (cheapest) | Hotels, transfers, sightseeing | Your flights, most meals | Travellers booking own fares |
| Flight-inclusive | The above plus return airfare | Some meals, personal spends | One-price, no-hassle booking |
| Customised | Any mix you choose | Whatever you drop | Tailoring nights and cities |
Compare Our Budget Thailand Packages
Here are the budget tiers we list, cheapest first. Every one is customisable, and prices are per person on twin-sharing, land-only unless you ask for flights.
| Package | Nights | Price from (Rs) | Best for | Key inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pattaya short break | 3N/4D | Rs 12,000 | First-timers, quick getaway | Hotel, transfers, city tour |
| Sensational Pattaya (couples) | 3N/4D | Rs 17,500 | Couples on a budget | Hotel, transfers, Coral Island |
| Phuket honeymoon (4N) | 4N/5D | Rs 20,000 | Beach lovers | Island hotel, transfers |
| Phuket short escape | 3N/4D | Rs 22,000 | Short island escape | Beach hotel, transfers |
| Bangkok + Pattaya combo | 4N/5D | Rs 22,500 | Families, first Thailand trip | 2 cities, transfers, sightseeing |
| Phuket + Krabi island hop | 4N/5D | Rs 28,200 | Honeymoon, island hopping | 2 islands, Phi Phi day trip |
| Superb full Thailand | 6N/7D | Rs 35,000 | The complete trip | Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket |
Chasing the absolute lowest number? A stripped land-only package can start from Rs 9,000 when you bring your own flights and keep to Pattaya or Bangkok. Couples should also look at our Thailand honeymoon packages, and anyone with a hard cap can filter our Thailand trips under Rs 25,000.
How to Choose the Right Budget Package
Four quick questions sort most travellers into the right trip.
• By who is going. Couples get the best value from a Phuket or Krabi beach package. Families do better on a Bangkok plus Pattaya combo with more to do and cheaper rooms. Groups can split twin-sharing costs further on any land-only quote.
• By budget. Under Rs 15,000 land-only means Pattaya or Bangkok. Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 opens the islands. Add flights on top of either.
• By days. A 4-night trip covers one region well, either the mainland or one island. Six or seven nights lets you pair a city with an island without rushing.
• By season. For the cheapest fares travel May to October. For the best weather go November to February and expect to pay a little more.
Best Time to Visit Thailand on a Budget
Thailand has a tropical climate, so it stays hot and humid most of the year. For the best weather visit November to February, which is peak season and the priciest time to fly. If you are travelling to save money, the green season from May to October is your window: flights and hotels drop sharply, the crowds thin out, and the rain usually comes in short afternoon bursts rather than all day. March to June is hot and dry if you prefer summer heat to showers. Full month-by-month detail is in our Thailand travel guide.
What to Pack and Money Tips
Pack light and beach-first, and carry a little cash for the small stuff that cards do not cover.
• Light cottons, swimwear and a quick-dry towel for the islands.
• Reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for long beach days.
• A power bank and a Thai eSIM or local SIM (data is cheap and coverage is good).
• Some Thai baht in cash for songthaews, street food and temple entry; the local currency is the baht (THB) and ATMs are everywhere.
• A universal adapter for the two-prong round sockets used in Thailand.

FAQs About Thailand Budget Tour Packages
How much does a Thailand trip cost from India?
A budget Thailand trip costs from about ₹28,000 per person all-in for 5 nights with return flights, or from ₹9,000 land-only if you book your own airfare. Flights are the biggest single cost, followed by hotels. Basing yourself in Pattaya or Bangkok and travelling in the green season (May to October) keeps the total at its lowest.
What is the cheapest Thailand package you offer?
Our lowest land-only budget packages start from around ₹9,000 per person, covering hotels, transfers and sightseeing while you arrange your own flights. Short 3-night Pattaya trips are usually the cheapest complete option. Every package is customisable, so an agent can trim it further to fit your budget.
Are flights included in budget Thailand packages?
Most of our cheapest quotes are land-only, meaning hotels, transfers and sightseeing are included but your India-to-Thailand flight is not. You can ask any agent for a flight-inclusive package instead, where the return airfare is booked with the trip so you pay one figure. Land-only lets budget travellers hunt their own low fares.
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand in 2026?
No. Indian passport holders get 30 days visa-free entry, so a short trip needs no visa fee. You complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before flying and carry a passport valid for at least six months. Thai policy changed twice in 2026, so reconfirm the current rule on the official Thai e-visa portal before you travel.
What is the cheapest month to visit Thailand?
The green season from May to October is the cheapest time to fly and stay. Flights and hotels drop well below peak rates, and the rain usually falls in short afternoon bursts. November to February has the best weather but the highest prices, so travelling just outside those months saves the most.
How many days are enough for a budget Thailand trip?
Four nights covers one region well, such as Bangkok with Pattaya, or a single island. Six or seven nights lets you pair a city with an island like Phuket or Krabi without rushing. Because the flight is your fixed cost, adding a couple of extra nights is the best value in the whole trip.
How much money do I need for 7 days in Thailand?
Budget roughly ₹40,000 to ₹55,000 per person for 7 days including return flights, a budget hotel, meals and local travel. Land-only, the ground package for a week starts lower, from around ₹15,000, and you add flights on top. Street food, Grab rides and the visa-free entry all keep daily spending down.
