How to Reach Seychelles

Book a flight to Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) from Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM) to travel from India to Seychelles conveniently.

Wondering how to go to Seychelles? While Mumbai Airport operates a direct flight to Seychelles, Delhi Airport is connected via connecting flights. Located on the island of Mahe, SEZ Airport is the busiest airport in Seychelles. Another option for travelers is about Praslin Island Airport (PRI).

A nonstop flight from India to Seychelles takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes to travel. SEZ Airport is located near the capital city of Victoria and acts as the hub of Air Seychelles. Travelers can also book Emirates, Jet Airways, SriLankan, and Kenya Airways to reach Seychelles from India. The distance between Seychelles and India by air is about 3,794 km or 2,357 miles.

It is important for travelers to know how to reach Seychelles before planning a family vacation or a romantic getaway to the country.

Seychelles has two major airports: Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) in Victoria and Praslin Island Airport. Seychelles International Airport is the primary point of entry for international travelers. The airport is located in Victoria, the capital city of Seychelles, which is situated on the northeastern side of Mahé Island. It is the hub of Air Seychelles, the national airline. The airport is served by international airlines such as British Airways, Austrian Airlines, Emirates, Kenya Airways, and Turkish Airlines. Long-haul scheduled flights to major destinations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East are available from this airport.

Another major airport in Seychelles, Praslin Island Airport is currently served by Air Seychelles. The airport operates scheduled flights to Mahé and charter planes to the other islands. Zil Air provides helicopter flights to most of the inner and outer islands.

Around 400 kilometers of paved road network connects the islands in Seychelles. The road network is poor outside major urban areas. Renting a car from the airport or the hotel is a great way to go on sightseeing in Seychelles, especially on Mahé Island. Due to lack of proper public transport in Seychelles, traveling by car allows travelers to visit and spend time at attractions by their own choice. Bike rentals are also available in downtown Victoria.

Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) operates daily buses on Mahé and Praslin Islands from morning to evening. In rural areas, especially on La Digue Island, ox-carts are a popular way of public transport.

The main seaport in Seychelles is Victoria. Cat Cocos and Inter Island ferry run regular catamaran ferries between Mahé and Praslin Island. Ferries are available on designated time at 15 minutes of interval. Ferries to smaller islands can also be arranged, but it is less reliable.

A little follow up should be done from travel triangle so that itinerary doesn't change as per wish of travel agent after commitment. 2. No proper guidance after selling package. Best travel destination for honeymoon couples. Seychelles is well known for white-sand beaches, tropical climate, and biodiversity. A must visit places - La Digue, Victoria, Anse Lazio, Beau Vallon, Tea Factory & Saint-Anne Marine National Park. Kunal along with Creole Seychelles service partner were very helpful and provided a really good arrangement for our accomodation. Staff at the Oasis hotel in Praslin & Berjaya in Mahe were very polite and available during the entire stay. We visited Praslin (3N), La Digue (1D) & Mahe (3N), both the locations were at the walking distance from the beach. Food & Water bottles at the hotel were expensive which made us explore reasonable restaurants/food outlets/Supermarkets outside our hotel. Overall the entire experience of the trip was amazing. Walks on the white sands of La Digue & Praslin. Beau Vallon beach view & Pizza from Sun Coco in Mahe.
