Tourism In Trivandrum

Have you ventured to that enchanting land of seven hills by the seashore, where lush greenery meets the coast? Our beloved father of the nation affectionately named it “The Evergreen City." The sights in Trivandrum are stunning and will leave you spellbound! Trivandrum is magical, with a rainbow mist enveloping flower-covered mountains, butterflies dancing in the sky, and views of charming beaches, captivating temples, historical monuments, magnificent palaces, delightful backwaters, and vintage tea, coffee, and spice plantations blending royal charm with modern styles. This lovely beach city, filled with art and architecture lovers, thrives with rich natural and historical significance while embracing a vibrant metropolitan culture that holds onto its roots. Emerging from one story to uncover another, the city sparkles in dappled sunlight filtering through green trees, welcoming backwaters flowing gracefully into the Arabian Sea. Let’s take a look at some of the other aspects of Trivandrum.

Major Attractions Of Trivandrum

Trivandrum is an excellent gateway to the nearby beach towns of Kovalam and Varkala! One of India’s must-visit spots, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple (also known as the Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple), is truly remarkable. You’ll also find other beautiful temples in Trivandrum, like the Attukal Bhagawati Temple, Aazhimala Siva Temple, Karikkakom Chamundi Devi Temple, and Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple. Beyond the temples, Trivandrum is home to various fascinating museums, including the Kuthiramalika Palace Museum and the Napier Museum. The Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, conveniently located near the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, showcases stunning Travancore-style architecture and displays invaluable paintings and collections of the royal family. Just a stone's throw from Trivandrum, Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Poovar Island present an enchanting natural experience. Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, set amidst lush landscapes, is teeming with rich biodiversity, including elephants, tigers, and exotic birds. While visiting this lovely city, be sure to take the time to explore these fantastic places!

Shopping In Trivandrum

Shopping in Trivandrum is exhilarating, with many options available. It is known for traditional handicrafts like Kathakali masks, ivory, sandalwood, rosewood items, local spices, handloom, coir, and fabrics. Connemara Market and Sankars Coffee & Tea provide various sauces and condiments. These markets are near MG Road, a well-known shopping area. Another popular spot is Chalai Market, and the S.M.S.M. Kerala Government Emporium offers paintings and other souvenirs.

Local Delicacies In Trivandrum

The traditional staple diet in Kerala remains a beloved constant, but the delightful variety of sides, drinks, and snacks brings a wonderfully unique flair to the cuisine. In Trivandrum, popular dishes include Thoran, a lovely mix of fresh vegetables beautifully dressed with coconut, and a creamy stew where potatoes and onions are cooked in rich coconut milk. Another favourite is Kalaan, a refreshing dish with buttermilk, melons, and ripe mangoes. Don’t forget the wonderfully crispy banana chips, a cherished snack that deserves a special place in the cuisine! Plus, vegetarian options are just as popular as meat dishes. You’ll find a tempting mix on many menus, from delicious seafood to savoury chicken, beef, and pork.

Having a great experience with my first booking with Shrikant. Looking forward for many trips with him. He was a great support throughout our trip to kerala. I always thinking once we book the trip than they will not be there for us but my assumption was completely wrong. He is taking care everything, taking follow up for every single day. Even when we in need of smthing he was the 1st one to give us better solution. Malarikal was the best place to visit as we havn't seen smthing like that before
