Vietnam packages under Rs 25,000

Most first-timers book in this band. The 3N/4D Hanoi and Ha Long Bay package costs Rs 21,840, and the 4N/5D Amazing Vietnam Tour Package costs Rs 22,260 for Hanoi and Ha Long Bay over 4 nights, which leaves time for a Ninh Binh day trip. Both run on 3-star hotels with breakfast.

Vietnam packages under Rs 35,000

Under Rs 35,000 you can see the north and the south in one trip, or stretch to a week. Eight packages sit in this band right now.

Between Rs 35,000 and Rs 50,000 you get longer trips or a mix of 3-star and 4-star hotels. Budget Vietnam packages with flights

These four packages bundle return economy flights from India with the land trip. Every other package on this page is land only, and your agent can add flights to the same quote.

Look at the first and third rows. The 5-day package with flights costs Rs 11,001 less than the 4-day one. Bundled fares depend on the departure date and city, so ask your agent which dates carry the lowest fare before you fix your leave.

Vietnam Trip Cost from India (2026)

A budget Vietnam trip from India costs Rs 14,280 to Rs 34,020 per person for the land package, depending on length. Add Rs 18,000 to Rs 30,000 for return economy flights and about Rs 2,400 for the US$25 e-visa. A realistic 5 to 7 day budget trip with flights comes to Rs 43,000 to Rs 63,000 per person.

The flight band assumes a return economy ticket from Delhi or Mumbai booked 6 to 8 weeks ahead, and the e-visa is US$25, about Rs 2,400 at roughly Rs 95 to the dollar in October 2026. What moves the price. Hotel category moves it most. Going from 3-star to 4-star for a week adds roughly Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000 per person. An overnight Ha Long Bay cruise adds a few thousand rupees over the day cruise. Late December and the week around Tet (Vietnamese New Year, 6 February 2027) push hotel rates up.

Daily spend on the ground. Lunches, dinners and taxis are not in most packages. A bowl of pho at a street stall costs 50,000 to 80,000 dong, about Rs 185 to Rs 295, and a Grab car across Hanoi's Old Quarter is usually under 60,000 dong. Budget about Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 per person per day for meals, local rides and the odd coffee, more if you eat mostly at Indian restaurants. The rupee buys roughly 270 dong.

Cheapest Flights to Vietnam from India

Vietnam has three main international airports: Noi Bai in Hanoi (HAN), Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Da Nang (DAD). Non-stop flights from Delhi reach Hanoi in about 4.5 hours, far quicker than the old one-stop routes. Vietnam Airlines and VietJet fly non-stop from Delhi and Mumbai to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. IndiGo flies non-stop to Hanoi from Delhi and, since late October 2026, from Mumbai. Air India flies non-stop from Delhi, and Akasa added Mumbai to Hanoi in September 2026.

Vietnam Visa, Insurance and Money for Indian Travellers

E-visa. Indians apply online at evisa.gov.vn. A single-entry e-visa costs US$25, is valid for up to 90 days and takes 3 to 5 working days. Apply at least two weeks before you fly and print the approval letter. The fee is not part of a budget package unless your quote lists visa assistance. Your passport needs at least six months of validity from your arrival date and two blank pages.

Travel insurance. It is not included in budget packages. Buy a policy that covers medical treatment. Private hospitals in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City charge international rates.

Money. Carry some US dollars to change on arrival and use VND for street food, markets and Grab rides. Cards work in hotels and malls but rarely at stalls. You pay TravelTriangle in Indian rupees.

Food for Indian travellers. Indian restaurants are easy to find in Hanoi's Old Quarter, Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, Da Nang and Phu Quoc. Ask your agent to mark vegetarian, Jain or eggless meals on the quote so hotels and the cruise operator know in advance.

Cheapest Time to Visit Vietnam

The lowest hotel and cruise rates fall between May and September. That is the hot, wet low season in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with short afternoon downpours rather than all-day rain. Da Nang and Hoi An are dry and sunny for most of those months, but June to August is peak domestic holiday season on the central coast, so beach hotels there cost more. For a cheap central Vietnam trip, go in May or early September. February to April gives the best mix of weather and price across the whole country. Skip central Vietnam in October and November, when typhoon rains often flood Hoi An's Ancient Town. Late December and Tet week (6 February 2027) cost the most and sell out early. Tips For Planning a Cheap Vietnam Trip

These simple tips will help you plan a Vietnam budget trip that stays under your number.

Travel in the off-season. A May to September trip runs noticeably cheaper on hotels and cruises than the same trip in late December.

Book flights early. Fares for 6 to 8 weeks out are usually the lowest. Midweek departures beat Friday and Saturday ones.

Pick the day cruise on Ha Long Bay. On trips under 6 nights it saves you a few thousand rupees and a hotel change.

Fly once, not three times. One Hanoi to Da Nang or Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City flight is enough. Every extra internal flight adds a few thousand rupees per person.

Eat street food. Banh mi and fresh spring rolls cost under Rs 150 a plate, and a street-stall bowl of pho about Rs 185 to Rs 295.

Use Grab, not street taxis. The price is fixed in the app before you ride.

Shop at local markets. Ben Thanh in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Xuan in Hanoi let you bargain.

Choose 3-star hotels in central areas. A 3-star in Hanoi's Old Quarter saves taxi money every evening.
