Best Places to Visit in Vietnam for Group Tours

Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Hanoi

One of the most visited sites in the capital, this monument honors Vietnam's former president and first prime minister. It's a solemn, historically significant stop that works well for groups wanting context before exploring the rest of Hanoi.

War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City

A powerful look at Vietnam's wartime history through preserved vehicles, weapons, and photography. A must for groups interested in 20th-century history.

My Son Sanctuary

An archaeological site holding the remnants of the ancient Champa Kingdom, with architecture reflecting a blend of Indian, Chinese, and Malay influences.

Hoi An

A nearly 2,000-year-old town blending Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and French heritage. Lantern-lit streets, colonial houses, and quiet canals make it one of the most photogenic group tour stops in Vietnam.

Cham Island

A 30-minute speedboat ride from Hoi An, this island is ideal for groups wanting a day of scuba diving, snorkeling, and beach time after the history-heavy itinerary.

Best Time to Visit Vietnam for Group Tours

Vietnam's long north-south stretch means the climate varies significantly by region, so the country can technically be visited year-round. Broadly, it experiences two monsoon patterns - southwest and northeast - depending on the region. Plan your group's travel dates around the best time to visit Vietnam based on which cities are on your itinerary.

How to Reach Vietnam

Vietnam has three international airports - Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Danang - all connected via direct or connecting flights from major Indian cities. Flight time from India is approximately 7 to 12 hours depending on the route. See detailed routes on how to reach Vietnam from India.

Flights for Vietnam Group Tours from India

  • Routes: Direct and connecting flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from Delhi, Mumbai, and other metros
  • Duration: 7–12 hours depending on route and layovers
  • Best Airlines: VietJet Air, Vietnam Airlines, IndiGo, and other international carriers

Booking group flights early - ideally 2-3 months ahead - helps lock in better group fares and seat blocks.

Small Group Tours in Vietnam

Small group tours in Vietnam are ideal for travelers who want a more personal, less crowded experience:

  • Typically include 6 to 12 people per group
  • Offer more curated, premium experiences than large tour groups
  • Well suited for couples, solo travelers, and small friend groups

These tours strike a balance between the cost savings of group travel and the flexibility of a smaller, more personal experience.

Best Shopping Places in Vietnam

Street Night Market, Dong Xuan Market, Bat Trang Pottery Village, Binh Tay Market (Cholon Chinatown Market), and An Dong Market are popular stops for group souvenir shopping.

Best Vietnamese Dishes to Try

Banh cuon, pho, bun cha, banh mi, ca kho to, banh xeo, banh cam, and goi (Vietnamese salad) are must-try local dishes - see the full guide to Vietnamese food.

Ritikamakar's 7 days trip to Vietnam

We thoroughly enjoyed all of our stays in Vietnam. Q Boutique was exceptionally clean, the service was excellent, and they offered a delicious breakfast with good vegetarian options. Our stay in Da Nang was equally enjoyable, with a great room and an excellent breakfast. Happy Life Grand Hotel Suit
e was comfortable after the room upgrade. However, the triple-sharing room could be improved, as its setup did not feel comparable to the Deluxe Twin room. It would be great if the triple-sharing option could have better arrangements to provide a more comfortable experience. All of our transfers and tours were well-organized and always on time. Every driver and guide we met was kind, professional, and very helpful throughout the trip. A special thank you to tracy for going above and beyond when we needed assistance with a hospital visit. Your generosity, kindness, and support were truly appreciated and made a stressful situation much easier for us. Bana hills, lantern town, chu chi tunnel, hanoi city tour

Vijay's 6 days trip to Vietnam

Recently we booked Vietnam - Phu Quoc Trip through Asia Luxury Travels and Ms. Joanna was the POC for the travel guidance and end to end planning and execution and she has done really great job in our trip planning, answering our impromptu questions at any time of the day and also arranged all the t
hings as per the plan. Only drawback which I faced in the entire trip was, we need to fill the VDAC when we enter Vietnam and this was not communicated to us earlier and due to which I need to wait in the long queue for clarifications with the Airport team and fill the form and get through the immigration, else all other things really went well. Also another improvement area which i need to give to travel agency is, please provide the tickets / cakes (in our case, my son's birthday Cake) on-time without we following up with the agency. Thanks again to Asia Luxury travels for arranging such a nice trip for our entire family.

Deepa's 10 days trip to Vietnam

We had an absolutely fantastic experience traveling to Vietnam from 20th to 30th May 2026. The entire trip was very well organized, smooth, and hassle-free from start to finish. All arrangements including hotels, transfers, sightseeing, and local support were handled perfectly. The itinerary was we
ll balanced – covering beautiful destinations, cultural experiences, and enough leisure time to enjoy at our own pace. A special mention to the coordination team gracie and lacie from the local tean for being quick responsive and supportive throughout the journey. Everything ran on time, and we never had to worry about logistics, which made the trip truly relaxing. Vietnam itself was breathtaking – from vibrant cities to scenic landscapes most important food , this is the only problem for pure vegan people like me, rest all the things every moment was memorable. Highly recommended for anyone planning a stress-free and well-managed international trip. Looking forward to planning the next journey with the same team again.

The complete experience was awesome. Trang was regularly updating us with all the details that we needed next day. We only faced issue in hotel in Hanoi where they refused to keep the luggage which was discussed earlier. They asked for extra money to transfer to their different store location. Trang
helped us there as well by managing it by herself. Kudos to her for managing our trip end to end. we loved each place in Vietnam starting from Sapa to our Cruise in Halong Bay, to Da Nang to Hoi An. Each place was a unique experience
