The easiest way to get to Hatu Mata Temple is to take a car; you can take your own car or hire one in Narkanda. It is only about 8 km from Narkanada to Hatu Peak and would take 20 to 25 minutes. Alternatively, you can also bike there. Another option, if you don’t mind taking longer, is hiking to the temple. Hiding from Narkanda to Hatu Mata Temple takes about half a day. The best time to visit the temple is during the late winter season to catch some snow or to visit in the spring to fall weather when the weather is cool and pleasant. Although you can visit in the winter time, the temperature drops significantly and it might be too cold for outdoor activities. Visiting the temple when there is light out is best to ensure safety.
