Enticing vacationers from all over the world, this place has its own uniqueness which cannot be found anywhere else. Like many, Yashukushalappa and her friends also got smitten by the grandeur and opulence of this place and that’s how they planned to spend 6 days in Rajasthan.

My friends and I being avid travelers always look up to new destinations to explore. And this time, we wanted to visit Rajasthan which happened to be our first choice. Frankly, we were quite willing to witness the majestic palaces and forts in Rajasthan that we’ve always seen in photographs and movies. Moreover, we were extremely exceptionally excited for Camel safari.

Weather In Rajasthan

Since Rajasthan is known for its scorching heat, we chose to spend 6 days in Rajasthan during the month of February for our trip. As the destination dances on the tunes of heat, we really didn’t expect it to be cold. But, the weather was extremely pleasant and some days it touched minimum lows of around 0°c. Also, in the day time, the more temperate would be about 10°c – 18°c. Needless to say, this is the best time to visit Rajasthan.

1. Jaipur: And Here We Enter The Pink City!

The imperial city of Jaipur was our first stop. Being the capital of the city, it is a bit crowded, but we could manage to witness the best of it. While visiting various architectural marvels such as Jantar Mantar, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal & museum, we how these impressive architectures were crafted in the age when there was no technology. Other than this, we also enjoyed an elephant ride at the gates of Amber for and it was such a magnificent experience! This experience made for one of the most amazing memories from our 6 days in Rajasthan.

2. Ajmer: A Lovely Treat To Mind, Body, & Soul

On day 2, we visited Ajmer Sharif Dargah which is the resting place of a renowned Sufi Saint Namely Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chisti. A pristine aura welcomes us with an enchanting fragrance of incense sticks. Ajmer Sharif Dargah is built mainly with mostly marble and gold plating. It was quite a tranquil experience between spiritual vibes. This was definitely one of the best parts of our Rajasthan trip plan for 6 days.

3. Jaisalmer: Enjoying Camel Safari And A Lot More!

Our trip of Rajasthan reached the apex of excitement when we headed towards Jaisalmer, which is famous for its rustic houses and camel safari. Rightly after entering the Golden City, we visited Jaisalmer’s fort which is perched on a yellow sandstone ridge offering visitors a spectacular vista of the sun-kissed town. We’re completely in awe of this place as the houses, the locals and the craftwork, made us feel as if we are into a different world altogether. We really have the best stay here and the hotel was also one of its kinds with all the hospitality that we were looking for!

Now was the time for a much-awaited camel ride. Sand Dune Camps are located at a distance of about 50 km from Jaisalmer. Upon reaching our camp and without wasting any time, we went ahead with a camel ride. And needless to stay, the experience of witnessing the sunset on the dunes while enjoying an exciting camel ride was unique in its own sense. We couldn’t ask for a better time and for me, it was one of the best moments of my life during our 6 days in Rajasthan!

4. Jodhpur & Udaipur: Embracing The Glory Of Rajasthan

Our day 5 was dedicated to Jodhpur, also famous as the ‘Blue City’ because of blue-painted houses it is filled with. We paid a visit to the iconic Mehrangarh Fort which offered us insights to the lifestyle of Maharajas and Maharanis. There was also a museum inside the fort that features ancient artifacts and relics from the Royal times. While enjoying amazing moments amidst magnificent historical monuments, palaces and temples, we saw the best of Jodhpur.

Among the many historical places in Rajasthan, the city of lakes, Udaipur was our last stop. While featuring lush green surrounding of Aravalli mountains and many lakes; Pichola lake, Swaroopsagar lake, and Fatehsagar lake, Udaipur basks in the glory of its beauty. Before heading back to our hometown, we visited some of the best forts in Udaipur with a beautiful view.

Shopping In Rajasthan: A Must-Have Experience

Shopping in Rajasthan is something that we all were looking forward to with so much excitement. Shopping is one of our favorite things to do, so we very well knew what to buy in Rajasthan. We decided to visit the best markers and enjoy a shopping spree like no other. We came across a plethora of shops selling all sorts of accessories and traditional wear. We especially bought bandhani dupattas and the sandals from Jaipur. Also, we were surprised to know that everything was available at such reasonable prices. Honestly, we wanted to buy all of it.
