By Air: Nepal is well connected by air through its airport in the capital city of Kathmandu. Tribhuvan International Airport is the main entry point into the country for anyone arriving via air. The main flight operators are Nepal Airlines and others include Air Arabia, Air Asia X, Air China, Etihad Airlines, Fly Dubai, Jet Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Airlines, Qatar Airways, Silk Air and Thai Air. There are flights connecting to different parts of the world including India, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

By Rail: Passenger and cargo trains run between Southern Nepal’s Sirsiya and Raxaul, a town in India. And only Indian citizens are allowed to cross borders by rail via this line.

By Road: To reach Nepal from India via road, you can either board a bus that connects various points between the two countries including Sunauli-Bhairawa border crossing from Varanasi; Raxaul-Birgunj crossing from Patna, Kolkata; Siliguri-Kakarbhitta from Darjeeling; Banbasa-Mahendranagar from Delhi and Bahraich-Nepalgunj from Lucknow. You can also hire a car or cab from a point in India that near to the border. You will have to pay NPR 120 as a toll and NPR 50 as a transport permit.
