    1. The first step is to schedule an appointment with the visa office? You can do it by pre-booking it through the official website of the visa application center. Appointments can be taken in either New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata or Chennai from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
    2. Once an appointment has been booked, ensure that the application form is duly filled. You can download the form from the VFS website.

    Visitors who have made their mind to visit France will need to submit the following documents in order for their visa application to be processed:

    1. Original passport which should be valid for a minimum of 3 months after the trip and should have a minimum of 2 unused pages.
    2. Photocopies of the address along with 2 photos in the passport is required
    3. A duly filled application form along with the latest passport size photographs complying all the guidelines for a passport photo.
    4. A duly signed cover letter and photocopies of visas for US, UK or Schengen nations (if available).
    5. Photocopy of hotel booking and travel itinerary is a must.
    6. Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay.
    7. You should have your photocopy of air tickets and insurance policy.
    8. Photocopy of insurance policy (international insurance) and air tickets.
    9. Your visa insurance form should be duly filled and signed.
    10. Proof of enrollment to be provided by students applying for a student visa.
    11. Marriage certificates to be provided by married couples wishing to travel to France.
    12. Birth certificate for children under the age of 18 years is a must.
