She’s Been Traveling The World For 5 Years Without Going Broke. Find Out How!

“Is it easy in the beginning? No. Will things go wrong? Yep, it’s called life, people! Will it be worth it? More than you can even imagine!” – Nina Ragusa

“I don’t have enough money to travel” is what we always tell ourselves and toss our vacation in the bin. But that’s one petty excuse that didn’t stop this 31 year-old from traveling to all the places on her bucket list and living her dreams. She’s neither a rich tycoon, nor is she getting funded by some jazzy travel organisation. Still, despite a restricted budget, Nina Ragusa seems to have been doing just fine for the past 5 years. Wanna know how? Read on…

It all started in 2011 when she booked a one way plane ticket to Thailand, after having have worked her ass off in a foreclosure law firm during the day and at bars and promotional events at night for 2 consecutive years. There’s no stopping her since. Her mission: To live and work in all the 7 continents!

“Hiking down through a volcanic crater in Indonesia, drinking coconuts and jet skiing in Mozambique, rock climbing on some incredible karsts in Krabi, snorkeling with blacktip reef sharks in Malaysia, seeing a friend’s father and brother become monks, eating everything as you walk down the chaotic market streets, and hiking with orangutans on Sumatra” is what an excited Nina told the media who asked her about the adventures she had these 5 years.

How she does it? Well, before she left for Thailand, Nina got herself a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which has enabled her to teach while on her trip and pay for all her crazy adventures and bizarre travel plans.

It hasn’t been easy for her though. She admits to have “failed miserably along the way”. But for her, her struggles have been “worth every drop of sweat, tears, and beers”. Those challenges never stopped this nomadic expat from following her dreams. What’s stopping you?
