A family bond that strengthened itself with every passing beautiful moment. Read the enthralling account of Gurpreet as he discovers the culturally dynamic and unforgettable experience of a family trip to Singapore and Malaysia. Their trip cost them a total of INR 2,06,000 which included their flights, transfers, accommodation, sightseeing, and meals.

I was searching for good options on the internet for family packages to Singapore and Malaysia, when I landed on the TravelTriangle’s page. They provided their travelers an option to customize the itinerary according to their travel needs and requirements. This was a perfect way for me to design my travel plan which would suit me the best.

I submitted a request on the TravelTriangle website and soon got a call back from their representative. Nishant understood the requirements to make my package into what I was expecting and connected me to various agents providing multiple offers for Singapore. I finally got the best deal via ‘Travel Inr A Product of Athrees‘ agency.

The formalities were done, and all that was left was to board the plane and fly out with verve and enthusiasm. The trip couldn’t come at a better time as it also coincided with our wedding anniversary. My son also was visibly excited about heading to Singapore since he heard about all the cool things there were in store for him.

Day 1: Nocturnal Safari

Photosession at Marina Bay

We flew in from New Delhi via Kuala Lumpur and arrived in Singapore at 10 am. The driver was present to receive and transfer us to the hotel. It didn’t take long for us to admire the marvels of Singapore as the airport itself of  was straight out of a techie’s dream. We arrived a bit earlier from check in time, so we went to a famous mall nearby called Mustafa shopping centre. Finally got our check in at 2 pm and rested for a while at the hotel.

We were advised to be ready for the Night safari by 5 pm for the taxi to pick us up. The night safari started at 7 pm, in an open jeep as we ventured out in the natural habitat of the animals. An adventurous moment witnessing endangered species and their lifestyle in the dark. After the safari, we were taken to witness informative and entertaining shows regarding the animals living in the Safari park.

The next day after breakfast, we got ready for a half day city tour. The taxi driver picked us up at 9 am and took us first to Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay. Afterwards, we boarded a boat cruise which covered the various points around Marina Bay. The cruise was amazing as we covered all the scenic points around the bay which otherwise would’ve taken us many hours to see by foot.

Riding the cable car with his son

The tour got over at 1.30 pm and the driver dropped us at Little India where we had lunch. An hour later, we walked 5 mins down the road to for our pick up to Sentosa Island. We arrived at the surreal Sentosa Island via cable car. We visited the popular attractions like Madame Tussaud’s, 4D World, and Wings of Time. We also explored a lovely place called Butterfly and Insect Garden on our own. We left Sentosa Island by 7 pm and were transferred to the hotel where we had dinner and rested for the night.

Day 3: The exciting Universal Studios

Family time at Universal Studios

My son was waiting for this day for a long time. He was about to see a theme park based on his favorite movies and characters. We got picked up at 9.30 am for the Universal Studios tour. To begin with the tour, we visited S.E.A. Aquarium for a few hours before we arrived at the main event at noon.

Let the fun begin! We started with a visit to the Madagascar attraction, followed by Far Far Away World. The highlights of our day was the Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park, and Transformers attractions. This was a thrilling family day that all of us would remember for long. We left Universal Studios at 6.30 pm, and went for dinner. Post dinner, we reached the hotel and called it a day.

Day 4: Transfer to Malaysia

The next morning, we checked out of Singapore and proceeded to the airport for our noon flight to Kuala Lumpur. We arrived in Malaysia a few hours later and got transferred to the hotel. Post lunch, we settled in for a while at the hotel and then got ready for the 6 pm night city tour.

I must say that it was a great decision to explore Kuala Lumpur at night. The city glimmers and shines at it’s finest as soon as the sun goes down. We visited famous spots like King’s Palace, Chocolate Factory, and Petronas Towers. The twin towers at night were an absolute stunner. At 10 pm, we returned back to the hotel and rested for the night.

Day 5: Rides, water, and some more fun!

Enjoying the thrill of a ride

The next day for us a full day trip to Sunway Lagoon Park. We arrived at the park at 10 am, and straight away went towards the water park rides. After a few hours, my son spotted the kids section rides. Once that was done, his day was made. The little champion finally thought he had enough after visiting 25 different rides!! Phew! That was one long adrenaline rush. We returned to Kuala Lumpur at 7 pm after which we met our friend for dinner.

Day 6: The lush green Genting Highlands

En route we stopped by at the Batu Caves Temple. Afterwards, we arrived at Genting Highlands at noon. Upon arriving, we visited the Snow World, Gaming Zone, and indoor amusement rides.

Although, there wasn’t much to do for us at Genting, we had a good time shopping for some souvenirs and gift items. We left Genting at 6 pm and returned to the hotel for the night.

Day 7: Closing out on an awesome adventure

Enjoying the chilly weather in Snow World

The final day of our incredible journey was here. Since our flight was in the evening, we took it easy on the last day packing our bags and winding up on what had been a memorable trip. We arrived at the airport at 5 pm, to board our flight back to New Delhi.

The vacation was fantastically planned, and I’m glad everything worked out so well. What made it all the more special was the fact that I got a chance to spend a long week with my wife and son which in daily scenario is almost impossible. This would one of our vacations we would remember for a long time, and for that I would like to thank TravelTriangle.
