    This museum in Samarkand is totally dedicated to the history of the city. The museum gets its name from Afrasiab which is one of the largest archaeological sites in the world and was destroyed by the Mongols in the early 13th century.     Since 1918, the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan or Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan has preserved 100 works of sculpture, paintings, drawings.
