History Of Eravikulam National Park

The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar was established as a hunting preserve for the colonial planters and was co-owned by Rajamalai and Eravikulam. After the British rule, it was converted into a sanctuary to protect the Nilgiri Tahr. Before 1971, the park was managed by the authority of Kanan Devan Hills Produce Company independently. After that, the Government of Kerala officially acquired control over the area under the Resumption of Lands Act, 1971. In the year 1975, in order to protect the endangered Nilgiri tahr, the area was declared as the Eravikulam-Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary. Later, in the year 1978, the sanctuary was declared a Munnar National Park. Eventually, with a turn of events, major portions of the land were distributed for the cultivation of coffee and cinchona.

Meghana's 4 days trip to Munnar

The timings of cab availability should be mentioned before giving the quotation. The places to be visited should also be taken into consideration according to the client needs. We have faced issues related to cab driver timings and availability. That was a bad experience though. The person who have given the quotation should be available till the tour plan gets over. In our case another person came into existence who doesn’t respond like the before person who has promised for a good tour plan.
