Tegallalang and Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
The name of the place, Bali, inevitably brings the image of lush green fields of rice along slanting terraces, stretching over for miles. Teggallalang is one of the popular places to visit in Bali (Indonesia), while Jatiluwih covers more than 600 hectares. These two are among the most famous rice fields in Bali, and also the most beautiful and picturesque. Pura Besakih
‘Pura’ means ‘temple’ in Balinese, and Pura Besakih is the oldest, largest and holiest Hindu temple complex in Bali. Perched 1000 meters high along the slopes of Mount Agung in eastern Bali, the six levels of Pura Besakih have 23 different shrines within its complex, but all of them are related in some way or other. This is one of the top destinations in Bali.
Pura Tanah Lot
The nickname of Bali is an explanation enough that most of Bali tourist attractions are sites of spirituality. Pura Tanah Lot is located at the tip of a rocky islet heading out to the sea, with white waves crashing at its 16th-century base. The visitors have to walk through a maze set up by a number of hawkers and then climb up the temple shrine for a spectacular view of the brilliant blue stretched till the horizon. Ubud Art Market
There are many museums and galleries that display the fruits of the famous Balinese Art Movement, but at Ubud Art Market, one of the most interesting places to visit in Bali, tourists get to choose and take souvenirs home. Goa Gajah
Goa Gajah is different from other Bali tourist destinations. It is an archaeological cave remains from the 9th century a few kilometers from Ubud region in western Bali. Though the exact historical origin is uncertain, it is assumed that Goa Gajah elephant caves served as a spiritual center for early Hindu sages. It is open for the tourists to descend and explore the relics – rock wall carvings, bathing pools, desolate fountains and a chief cave supposedly for meditation.
