Our Manali honeymoon was truly an enthralling experience that purveyed us numerous opportunities to witness the mesmerizing beauty of Shimla Manali in winter. However, we had numerous experiences worth sharing but following are the best 5 experiences one must not miss out while holidaying in Manali in winter:
1. Luxuriating Accommodation In Shimla & Manali
Our both accommodations, the one in Shimla and the other in Manali was quite heart-warming. The location of both the accommodations made us witness the panoramic vistas of Himachal. We beheld the enticing views from our balcony of sunset and sunrise amidst the snow-clad mountains. Our stay was reveling and the special honeymoon arrangements made by the staff was gratifying. It was the best experience one could expect on a honeymoon in Manali and Shimla.
2. Exhilarating Sightseeing Tour In Shimla
Our Shimla sightseeing tour took us to some amazing spots including Wood Market, Christ Church, Kali Bari temple, Scandal Point, and Tibetan Market. The wood market was quite pocket-friendly and we grabbed a few carved wooden items made up of Cedarwood. Christ Church was an enormous church and provided a few glimpses of the British colonization era in India. At night the church looked like a magnificent castle that stunned us with its beauty.
We also visited the popular Kali Bari temple which purveyed a heavenly vibe. The location of the temple is quite unique which created a majestic ambiance around us. Scandal Point, that’s the intersection of The Mall and The Ridge made us encounter an eternal love story of the Maharaja and the daughter of the viceroy. We also cherished walking down the famous Mall Road of Shimla and spending leisure time there!
3. Adventurous Hours In Solang Valley
Our visit to Solang valley in Manali enthralled us. Solang valley is covered with snow in winters making it a popular spot for skiing. If you want to witness snowfall in Manali in winter, you should go to Solang valley. It was the most beautiful excursion of our entire trip where we witnessed electrifying activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, and gondola ride. We spent quite a lot of time there indulging in these adventurous activities along with munching the relishing local delicacies. Solang Valley is an experience, one must surely acquire while holidaying in Manali in winter.
4. Impressive Attractions Of Manali
Manali weather in February was fabulous that intensified the beauty of this alluring hill station. On our second day in Manali, we visited popular attractions there including Hadimba Temple, Club House, Van Vihar, and Vashist. The beautiful Hadimba Temple was located amid the snow-covered mountains and features unique architecture. The shrine of the goddess was carved on a rock and we loved the serene environment there.
Another interesting spot here was the Manali Club House which is an amusement retreat. This spot gave an exciting twirl to our vacation as we tried various indoor activities here such as billiards and skating. There was a nice restaurant cum bar in the Club House where is enjoyed the delicious food. The natural springs and sandstone temples of Vashisht were amazing. We were told that these springs have medicinal properties and heal skin diseases. This expedition to the Vashisht was truly illuminating.
5. Scrumptious Delicacies Of Himachal
The experience of Manali in winter will be incomplete without mentioning the mouth-watering Himachali cuisine. We enjoyed having local cuisine esp. Chana Madra, Dhaam, Tudkiya Bhath, and Bhey along with our delicious breakfast at the hotel. We tried different restaurants here and were surprised by the amazing taste. However, a few local motels had very rude staff but their attitude can be ignored for the delicious food we enjoyed there. The question, “What to do in Manali in winter?” did not even come to our mind having all these experiences in our hands.
