The warm waters at these islands due to their proximity to the equator make it ideal for diving throughout the year. Different season offers completely different diving experience for scuba divers. In the June-July-August months, the archipelago is hit by south-east monsoon making the temperature to drop to 25 degree centigrade. The colder water are then filled with planktons that make the underwater visibility difficult for the divers. However, the planktons being highly nutritious attract a lot of whale share that are otherwise rare to be spotted in the water.
November to May can be considered to be the best time for scuba diving in Seychelles as the climate is hot and humid; the water is crystal clear which allows an uninterrupted visibility up till 30 meters. The December to February stretch experiences heavy downpour but otherwise the sea remains calm.
