It was built in 1783 as a small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Baghel Singh. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is popular for being associated with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Kishan.

From Monday to Saturday, Birla Mandir is open from 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM and it reopens again from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The temple is closed from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM from Monday to Saturday for maintenance. On Sundays, Birla Mandir is open 24 hours.
As for fees, Birla Mandir doesn’t charge any for all the visitors. Nonetheless, if you’re planning to use any additional fee like a locker facility or museum, you may have to pay a nominal fee.
