Rameshwaram Travel Guide
Rameshwaram is a majorly popular destination for tourists, especially pilgrims who are on a religious trip for seeking divine blessings. When talking about Rameshwaram, contrary to popular belief, Rameshwaram also offers travelers a chance to enjoy several other activities, from watersports to shopping, from beach hopping to relishing local cuisine. This Rameshwaram tour guide takes one on a journey of discovery, to explore what Rameshwaram has on offer, for people from all walks of life. It is also advisable to take along a Rameshwaram map if one is planning to explore the place on their own.
Temples in Rameshwaram: A visit to Rameshwaram is not completed till one has visited some of the most popular temples here, including the Rameshwaram temple, also known as the Ramanathaswamy Temple, Five Faced Hanuman Temple, Nambu Nayagiamman Temple and many more. All the different temples have different Rameshwaram temple darshan timings, so people are advised to plan accordingly. Gather all information about Rameshwaram temple such as dress code before visiting it. Make sure to enjoy a Rameshwaram temple visit when here to complete your trip.
Rameshwaram Weather: The climate of Rameshwaram is a tropical one, and thus it gets very hot here during the summers. The winters are cooler as is the monsoon season, although the latter is not conducive to enjoying a hassle free sightseeing expedition since it rains pretty heavily here. Rameshwaram climate is the best in the winter months, when the temperature does not rise above 15° C.
Food in Rameshwaram: Thanks to being a temple town, most of the Rameshwaram famous foods are vegetarian dishes. Nevertheless, these simple dishes are some of the most delicious in the state. Non-vegetarians need not be disheartened, because Rameshwaram is also a hub for some of the most delicious seafood fare in the state. Some of the must have food in Rameshwaram includes idlis, vadas, dosa, crabs, cuttle fish, rasam and of course, the ubiquitous sambhar. There are also pickles and other dry foods to purchase and bring back home.

Dissentflutter's 3 days trip to RameshwaramWorst hotel and worst food never ever suggest anyone no hot water , stinky room
Sauviks's 3 days trip to RameshwaramWhile everything was planned properly, we had to face a last minute hazzard due to enquires put by us during the planning phase and a driver (Venkat) from Savaari, who managed our details online, contacted us early on the morning on 25/10, a day before our trip was scheduled and we kept on communicating with him since he introduced himself as a driver from the agency, who we thought is HolidayPackage, our agent. It was informed to the agent (Neha, co-ordinator) that we got the driver details but she was casual enough or overheard us and totally ignored the fact the they have not yet provided us any detail but we were alredy co-ordinating with a driver. We ultimately got the driver details from the agent in the evening and before we took a note of the details the driver (Syed) called us but we did not get into a discussion assuming that he may not be a genuine one as we were already in discussion with a driver (Venkat) whom we thought was from Holiday Package. Now we were standing at a place where we were not sure who the driver was and Neha advised us not to continue speaking to the other driver (Venkat). Venkat called us directly but we managed to bypass him and denied availing his services. The owner of the agency, Abhinav, ultimately managed to arrange the driver but not before I ended up calling multiple parties who called me in the meantime, addressing themselves as the car supplier. After all these, the driver showed up on time on 26/10 and things mostly went as per plan. Hotel rooms were not as expected. Tripwise, it was good, enjoyed thoroughly.
