Edwin's 10 days trip to Ladakh

Amazing India Routes didnt disappoint as a 1st time experience for me. Overlooking some minor issues and problems, the whole trip was a rejuvenating and enriching experience for us. Camping at Nubra valley could have been a much more fun experience if the location of the camp wasnt located too much remote and interior(But bonfire night made up for that). Also, appreciate the efforts Priyanshu and Amrita put in during the course of our trip by being readily available at beck and call of us and responding and resolving any which problems which had arised. The 1st view of Pangong Lake was too good (Plz opt for 2 night stay @ Pangong lake). Please clarify the Food cuisine preference before the trip. The whole road trip was totally breathtaking and each and every images of that place is imprinted in our minds.

Aruna's 6 days trip to Ladakh

The hotel was very good and the can driver very punctual and decent. When we wanted to stay a day extra at the hotel, the manager was considerate to accomodate in nearby hotel and also provided special attention of delivering food etc as the other hotel did not have dining facilities. Travel agent Deepika was also professional and helpful. For future improvisation, you may choose to describe the nature of facilities which are available at various categories of camps (deluxe/luxury etc) as that would help customers choose better. While our deluxe camp was good, few other camps had wooden structures etc which could have provided better protection against the cold weather. While the driver was very professional, sharing little more information about the places ( not as detailed as tour guide) we are visiting may help enhance customer experience.

TIPS

TRAVEL

  • Try traveling by train to have a real Indian experience.
  • Prefer the routes on Konkan Railways (from Bombay to Goa - 8hrs, very scenic and lot of waterfalls and tunnels, the best month to travel are Sep - Jan) and the route in Rajasthan are dry and lovely.
  • In case you visit Temples, Museums and other spots, have a clear idea of the opening and closing time, entry fee and whether the camera is allowed or not.

FOOD

  • There are these little and cheap ‘Udupi’ restaurants which offer truly amazing food at an affordable price, don’t forget to check them out.
  • As there are lots of places worth a visit near Mumbai, plan a personal itinerary and plan according to that.

STAY

  • For a perfect stay, seek advice from local friends instead of travel agents, otherwise, you will end up paying a very high amount through travel agents.

  • One can also opt to book government-owned tourist hotels. Always make bookings in advance whenever planning to stay in a government-owned tourist toilet.
