About Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai

Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the most auspicious sites to visit in Mumbai.

This temple draws major crowd each day and is one of the most visited places in Mumbai. The temple is devoted to the Hindu God Lord Ganesha also known as Vinayaka, who is considered as the deity for intellect and wisdom. Lord Ganesha is worshipped all over India and in parts of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bali. The Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai is the most prestigious temple devoted to this deity and is draws devotees from all around the world. Its prestigious values draw both the common man and the celebrities.

History of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple

Shri Siddhivinayak Temple was established in the year 1801 by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil. The temple is situated at the SK Bole Marg in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. It is considered one of the richest temples in the world with an approximate annual donation of 150 million. However, this was not always the story. Initially, the temple was just a small structure that was constructed over the year into the grandiose it is today. Siddhivinayak Temple's history narrates tales of various renovations and full-filled wishes.

One of the eccentricities about the idol of Lord Ganesha that is in this temple is that the idol is actually a carving of a single black stone into the shape of Lord Ganesha. Another thing that is peculiar about the idol is that the trunk is faced right side which is usually faced on the left side. Even though the temple is almost always packed with devotees, the place offers a surreal fiesta during the festival of Ganesha Chaturthi. This festival takes place at the start of September. The temples host a special ceremony during this much-awaited festival.

Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai is a must-visit place on your trip to this city. So seek blessings and feel an upsurge of energy like never before.

All were neatly planned. Well organised. Driver was helpful and suggestive . I know this was a budget hotel. But it can be little more better. Morning we need to wait for water in bathroom for both days .

Sumit's 5 days trip to Mumbai

I got the feedback from the guest for which I booked the trip they said it was very good until the last hotel named hotel maharaja was booked for us, there were cockroaches and bad smell in the room and this ruined the whole experience, I have given 7 because of that only else this whole trip was 9/10

Ramaswamy's 5 days trip to Mumbai

Hotels booked are not as expected and situated away from main area. Hotel Aristo at Lonavala is below average. Cab driver was very helpful but always on mobile during driving which I have advised him frequently not to attend phone calls during driving but not followed. Some times he leaves us on the road instead of nearby parking lot to avoid parking fee. Despite some setbacks we enjoyed well. When we went Orissa tour during Feb.25 booked through you, everything was fine

Overall very good planning by the team. We did not have any problem anywhere during the trip. However we didn't know about the convenience fee that was added to our package, which was a last minute surprise. Even the travel agent did not reveal it to us while we booked the trip
