The hotel accommodations were good. All the places we covered - Kaziranga, Dawki, Cherrapunji and Shillong were good! Shillong itenary surely reminds of viewing the 'Scotland of the East'! Spectacular! For trips in the East, it would be good to factor the early sunset, long distances you need to travel and waiting time (places like Kamakya Temple) while planning the itenary. We had to skip lunches for continuous 3 days to ensure itenary is completed. We had to skip Orchid Gardens, Umiyam Lake and Kamakya temple which could have been avoided.

Meghalaya is undoubtedly a stunning destination, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor planning and communication from our travel agent. While the places we visited were beautiful, the agent failed to provide critical information that significantly impacted our trip. Seasonal Information Missing: Our primary intent for visiting Meghalaya was to enjoy its famous waterfalls. However, none of the waterfalls had water during our visit—something the agent never mentioned. We specifically altered our itinerary to include a river trek near Mawlyngbna, only to find out on arrival that the area was dry. Such details are fundamental and should have been communicated upfront, allowing us to adjust our plans. Itinerary Mismanagement: The agent scheduled our Double Decker Trek on a Sunday, despite it being well-known that the trek is not operational on Sundays. This could have wasted an entire day had it not been for our driver, Musaddik, who noticed the error and rearranged the trek for Saturday. This level of oversight is unacceptable from a professional travel planner. Missed Opportunities: Another significant lapse was the lack of guidance regarding the Maa Kamakhya Mandir. We were not informed about the necessity of VIP tickets, which need to be purchased a day in advance. As a result, we couldn’t enter the temple and had to settle for seeing it from outside. What Went Well: Despite the agent’s shortcomings, we appreciated our driver, Musaddik, who not only ensured our safety with excellent driving but also suggested some good spots to visit, adding a positive touch to the trip. Suggestions for Improvement Transparency: Provide detailed seasonal insights about destinations to help travelers make informed choices. Accuracy: Verify operational schedules of activities and ensure itineraries align accordingly. Proactive Guidance: Offer information about essential bookings, like VIP tickets for temples or special activities. Had we been informed well on the seasons, we would have included Kaziranga National Park, our experience would have been much more fulfilling. While we enjoyed the beauty of Meghalaya, the lack of proper planning by the agent dampened our trip’s potential.

Me and my husband took the services from Indeman Travel Solutions for our 8 night 9 day trip to Arunachal Pradesh and Kaziranga. I would first like to applaud the great services provided by Mr. Sanjeev. He was always available right from the planning stage till the completion of the tour. Apart from being polite and patient, he was always available on phone whenever we needed any support during the trip. The hotels and cab provided was quite satisfactory. He also arranged my last minute Kamakhya Temple darshan in Guwahati. After a long time, we found a very good travel company provided by Travel Triangle.

Our 6D7N at Meghalaya was a trip to remember for life.Meghalaya and Kaziranga itself are a stunning and mystical Place to visit. One should visit Meghalaya more than once in the lifetime. We booked our trip on Travel triangle and and inturn we chose Travel Kutir as our booking partner. Megha helped us throughout the journey from starting to the finish of the trip. She was soo communicative, responsive and helped us to chose and plan the right destinations. I am really glad that Megha was our trip advisor. Infact, in the middle of the trip when we wanted to change our hotel, she was there to assist us, even though it was 9pm. Thankyou Megha for assisting and being a part to create new memories with my Family. Best, Sheetal

We customized a tour in Assam-Meghalaya through Unexplored Trip for 7D6N. We had an enjoyable time in the wild, in the nature, in the rain that Cherrapunjee is so famous for and soaking in the rich culture of Assam. About Unexplored Trip: What was done well: 1. Closing on the quote - all travel agents do this well! 2. Customizing the trip to include Double Decker, which was a top priority for us 3. Gave us very thoughtful gifts on day 1. We appreciated this more than anything else because we got to enjoy the local culture by donning a part of their local clothing What could have been better: 1. Customer Service - Closing on a customer (booking the trip) is not the end of the relationship. The agency didn't make an effort to communicate progress (hotel booking, safari booking at Kaziranga etc) and even Travel Triangle was unreachable. I had to keep following up on multiple little things and when I couldn't reach any of them for a couple of days, I almost panicked that I was conned. There was no proactive reach-out to provide critical information needed for the travel. Second, there was no check point with us once the trip started. This is not a good thing. If you want the customer to be satisfied, have a couple of check points to see how they are settling down and if anything needs to be adjusted. 2. Be upfront about how much extra all the entry fees is going to come to - No guidance on what's really worth seeing and what's not and which places have entry fee (which is all of them!). Most of the falls were a waste of money because you see them from far away, especially the Seven Sisters. As tourists, we rely on locals to give us this information so we can utilize our money effectively. 3. Some of the 3 star hotels weren't maintained well. This is not a reflection on the travel agency but I think they should consider this when booking other customers 4. Last but not least, use discretion when a customer complains about the driver - It went fine the initial few days and then we had a conflict with the driver which I expressed to the travel agent I was talking to. I had expected some discretion but because the travel agent complained immediately to the vendor and the vendor called and yelled at the driver, we had to deal with crap for the next 2 days. So, if you are going to complain to the vendor immediately, make sure you change the driver instead of letting the customer deal with it. Also, why was this driver assigned to us if other customers had already complained about him?!

Rohan's 11 days trip to North East

The trip was overall good. Mr Prabhat was there, assisting throughout to make sure everything falls in place. We faced a small inconvenience from the local agent who tried to change our driver mid-way with another driver who had some behavioural issues with other group of travellers, and thus he was being forced upon us. The other issue being, our Kaziranga safari coincided with the PM's visit. For this the core Kohora region was unavailable that day. We were trying to reschedule our safari bcoz of this to some other day but the local Assam operator assured us that the PM's visit won't interfere with ours, even after us repeated telling him otherwise (media was reporting this 4-5 days prior). Only at the last moment he agreed that our safari won't go as planned and asked us to visit the secondary-bagori range. This caused us some disappointment as we were anticipating this prior. Apart from these 2 hiccups the trip went smoothly. The provided original driver was exceptional and hotels were decent.

Sudarshan's 7 days trip to North East

The trip to the northeast was very enjoyable. It was a wonderful experience. Due to our tardiness on the first day, we were unable to participate in the Jeep Safari at Kaziranga. We completed it on the second day, but the elephant safari was not possible because it had to be booked in advance. When planning an elephant safari, it's best to prebook it at least two months in advance through https://www.kaziranganationalpark-india.com/online-kaziranga-safari-booking.html. The rest of the day's trip went smoothly. If you're in Cherrapunji (Sohra) and the nearby areas, it's best to stay an extra day as there are many places to see. Planning it in one day will result in insufficient time to spend at the location. Dainthlenn falls and Wei Sawdong were closed. Your stay at Shnongpdeng will involve staying in a cabin room on the riverbank, but the rooms are decent. You have the option to engage in water activities there. Boating at Dawki is a better option, as the water is cleaner than Shnongpdeng. Make a day for Kamakhya temple. During christmas, all hotels will be closed except for very few that will be open, and those that will be open will be very busy. Megha from Travel Kutir met all her commitments. Imamul Ali, the driver, was polite and took great care of the client's safety.
