Winters (October to February)

Starting late October, winter sets in Diu with light showers coming in every now and then. The temperature range goes on between 10 to 30 degrees Celsius. What makes this the best time to visit Diu is that the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and also watersports and other things. It’s neither too hot, nor too cold, just perfect if you’ve booked a Diu package for friends.

Summers (March to May)

With temperatures going up to 37 degrees Celsius, Diu is not quite bad in summers owing to the morning breeze and comfortable weather. The afternoons may get a bit uncomfortable when the temperature is at its peak. But otherwise, summer months aren’t too bad to visit Diu. Compared to its scorching neighbor, Gujarat, Diu is an ideal destination for summer holidays.

Monsoons (June to September)

Diu doesn’t just see one monsoon but two. One happens from the southwest between June to September while the other is from October to November. The heavier one is, of course, June to September when the water can fall up to 1500mm. Watersports are not an option during this time and it gets tough to go around the town. Therefore, it is best to avoid Diu in monsoons.

How to reach

By Air-

The nearest airport to Diu is the Diu Airport. The Daman and Diu Union Territory is connected to the world by this airport. Flights from major cities come to Diu, but they may be limited in number.

By Road-

One can take a bus, cab or self-drive from Porbandar, Veraval or Junagadh to reach Diu. Self-drive options are also available along NH8, which connects from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Baroda. So if you are booking Diu packages for friends from any of these places, taking the road will be a good idea.

By Train-

The nearest train station to Diu is Veraval, which is about 90 km away. Connecting trains from different parts of India, especially the bigger cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Gujarat can be taken.

If we ask for changes in itinerary they never ever changes single modification.. even we informed 15 days prior to our departure.deginitely for next trip I m considering traveltraingle for sure . My previous experience was exceptional in madhyapradesh.now i understood it will change for every trip. We took a 8 day 7 night tour package. The hotels provided ranged from satisfactory to good. White Rann and Gir were the highlights of the trip. The rest of the destinations (Diu, Jamnagar, Bhuj and Ahmedabad) were not that great. Amin was pretty responsive to any queries I had and overall a good vacation thanks to Diu Holidays

A Eight-day & Seven-night trip in Gujarat covering Dwarka, Somnath, Diu, Sasan Gir, Ahmedabad which was possible and was enjoyed to it's maximum extent, thanks to Inland Tourways, Ahmedabad. Tour was organized well by Charan, he was very polite in guiding in covering all the important places. Arranged the stays in best possible hotels which were very helpful. Arranged Driver (Dinesh Bhai) was also very helpful and kind. Guided us to visit all required places on time. Was there for us on anytime we called me. He picked us up from Jamnagar Airport and stayed by our side till we boarded our train for the return trip in Ahmedabad.

Overall the trip planning was good. The hotels were good for family, especially the locations of hotel Apar in Diu and Hotel Grand Dwarka in Dwarka. The Daksh resort was slightly far from the Gir National forest entry gates. The driver tried to take shortcut via jungle road for our late afternoon safari and that almost had cost our safari as it was not at all a road. If the drivers are instructed to not to travel via uncharted roads, that will be good. The travel agent Mr. Vikash from Inland Tours was helpful. He was available over whatsapp, though reaching out to him over phone was a difficult. As, the driver was having misconceptions about the number of days of our trip and was stating that the Dwarka trip planning was not right and impossible, etc. I tried reaching the agent over phone but he wasn't available on that day, even though he replied via WhatsApp to wait for 15mins. We could connect only on next morning. If the dedicated agents are available for a considerable time (need not be 24 x 7) but at least during 10am to 6pm, that will be good. One final suggestion - as the trip travel is being done during the day and via car, it is necessary that the back glass panel should have sun proofing, else it becomes hot inside. Finally, thanks for the memorable trip. Your assistance made it successful.

We were traveling as a couple to Dwarkadhish,Somnath, Gir and Diu. Overall it was a good experience, our driver Ram was of great help and helped to explore all important locations. I would however ask the agent for better accomodation at Somnath, our hotel Heritage was not up to the mark, average rooms and very poor quality of breakfast. Also, we could have been recommended to keep Gir as the last point as travelling from Diu to Rajkot airport is a big distance and we ended up traveling whole of our last day

Was done in a professional way right from booking hotel, arranging cab, tourist spots etc. Like to thank the incharge who was a lady and her support staff. The tour would have been more satisfying except for one hotel in Diu. The same has been communicated to the travel agents. I hope they look into the matter for future people travelling, Would recommend to my other friends and also look forward in future also to book my travel programme. Best of look TRAVEL BAE
