Temple Tour Package

Temples have always been the place where one can spend some time looking for as well as finding solace away from the hustle bustle of city life. Being one of the oldest civilizations of the world, it is no big surprise that there are plenty of religions here, and all of them have their own temples and places of worship. With the hindu population in India being high, there are thousands of temples in the country, each with distinct architecture, different idols to worship, a host of different rituals and lots of devotion. Find and book some of the best temple tour packages for a great experience among

Most of these temples are dedicated to some form of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, the three supreme Gods of hindu mythology, although there is just a couple of Brahma temples in the country. A lot of temples are also dedicated to a female supreme power, Goddess Parvati, Kali, Laxmi or Saraswati, or a different avatar of these goddesses. The legends and mythological stories that go along with the establishment of every temple is an added bonus for people visiting them. Here are a few temples to cover when booking temple tour packages in India:

Maa Vaishno Devi Temple: As part of any well planned temple package, a visit to this temple is imperative at least once in your life time. Located in Jammu, this temple is located on the summit of a hill. Pilgrims need to travel at least 13 kms to reach the temple, from the bottom of the hill. Earlier people had to either walk all the way, or hire a pony to take them to the summit, but these days you can also get a seat on rent on chartered helicopters to land right on the summit.

Kedarnath Temple: There are 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the fabled abodes of Lord Shiva. The one at Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand is fabled to be the one at the highest elevation, and thus is quite difficult to get to. It is part of the famous chaar dham yatra, and for most Hindus it is imperative to visit. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas, after which it was rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya. Despite the flash floods that Uttarakahnd witnessed a few years ago, the temple remained intact with very little damage.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple: The Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi is another temple that is sure to be part of your temple tour packages. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is another of the important jyotirlingas in India.

Somnath Temple: Another temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Somnath Temple in Gujarat offers pilgrims not just a chance to revel in the glory of their own faith, but lets them enjoy beautiful views of the Arabian Sea. The temple is located on the Arabian Sea shore, and offers other attractions as well as such as a Sound and Light Show and the Somnath Museum.

Rameshwaram Temple: As part of well planned temple tour packages in India, a visit to the Rameshwaram Temple is imperative. Located in Tamil Nadu, this temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. It is said that Rama landed on these shores, with Sita, after defeating Ravana. Rama wanted to atone for killing Ravana, a brahmin, and thus prayed to Lord Shiva for forgiveness.

Harsh's 6 days trip to Thailand

Day 1 - Pick up time was not planned well. But still we managed to message and convey delay for Immigration. This should have planned and kept pick up time of 10.30am. Also visa forms can be planned and filled up earlier also. (Visa forms details should be told to customer beforehand, as we had to fill 2 forms out of which about 2nd form we got to know at last minute which caused further delay and hence delayed pick up time. Also still despite of delayed pick up we reached Woraburi bit earlier and still as room allotment time was 2pm we had to wait and because of poor hotel management got room almost 25-30mins late by 2.30pm. rest part of the day and Alcazar show was good. Day 2 - This day went really nice and really nice hotel (Woraburi). Day 3 - start of the day was awful because of annoyed agent came for the water sports payment in morning yelling at us. (he should have come yesterday on day 2 evening itself and he didn't accept card payment also he wanted cash so had to rush unnecessarily early morning while getting ready. Though not a good start of the day, rest of the day went well. Day 3 - we left on time and day was well spent at madam Tusssands and back to nice Hotel (Furama), followed by some shopping. Day 4 - Here again Driver did unnecessarily hurry although planned time was 8am they preponed it last minute to 7.30am. Driver did not allow us to have breakfast time even till 7.30. This day again after Safari unnecessarily hurry for Pick up was done and we had to run in the middle of a Spy war Show which could have been included and pick up could have planned after this show. Day 5 - As we had early flight at 8.10am, we had to leave early, here also there was improperly planned timings for pick up were given 4am for domestic flight where even 1hr buffer time was enough. Unnecessary they pushed us to get ready earlier and had to negotiate timings with Travel persons instead of enjoying our time. Very poor planning. Day -6 on Day 6 we reached earlier and lovely response by Krabi team they were the most professional people I have came accross. Lovely time spent here. Day 7 - Lovely hospitality at Apple a day and tour and return. Very nice. Day 8 - morning we left for Phuket, did Tiger Kingdom and then to Hotel. This Hotel (Andakira was good I won't say bad but seemed a bit downgrade from other hotels still was a good choice as nearby, just that I would have loved it if it would have had Jaccuzzi as well as all the earlier ones had it so it could have made our trip superb. Still NP as Apple a Day was awesome in Krabi. Rest everything was good. I would only say there is vast difference in Planning by your sales person and Execution of tour planning according to plan by operations team both have to sync up properly for better execution of the trip. Nikita gets full marks for planning our trip so nicely. Only operations team did not planned properly.. Krabi was a lovely place from immediate response and pick up to the lovely Apple a Day resort. Very lovely and professional people also loved 4 island tour. loved Phuket journey of nice night clubs, beach and phi phi Island tour. Loved the Alkazar show, Coral Island tour and Underwater world in Pattaya, Madam Tusssands, Safari and Marine Park at Bankok. Memorable journey so far.

Nikita's 6 days trip to Rajasthan

The services provided by travel agent and cab driver was amazing. They were always ready to accommodate any special requests and ready to address any inconveniences. The first hotel provided was unhygienic and rooms were dirty + allocated late, but the next 2 stays were good - both food n rooms were great. Travel agents Shailendra, Himani and cab driver Chanchal were always suggesting and guiding on best way to cover and make the most of the trip, they were ready to accommodate any last minute changes - which was very helpful. They were just a call away and they would be ready to resolve any issues faced very quickly. Amazing service provided.

Rakesh's 6 days trip to Delhi

We appreciate the overall effort in organizing the trip; however, we would like to highlight a few important areas for improvement. It is essential to verify and provide complete transparency regarding hotel details and services at the time of quotation or payment. We faced challenges in a couple of hotels, particularly related to food availability which impacted our experience. Additionally, the cab services need better management. Timeliness, cleanliness of vehicles, and professionalism of drivers are critical factors. In our case, a lack of route knowledge and awareness of local places led to significant time loss during travel. We recommend ensuring better coordination and accurate information sharing to enhance customer satisfaction in future arrangements.

Jhunoo's 3 days trip to Kerala

The overall experience was great. The stay was comfortable and beautiful. The driver took us to places that were in the itinerary. There was an issue with the drivers working hours, there was a day, when we wrapped up everything before 7, n we had ample amount of time, which could have been utilized, but since the driver didn't want to go, we did not go out.

FAQs Tour Packages

A few other temples in India that are a must visit include:

Siddhivinayak Temple: You should definitely include the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai as part of your temple tour packages. Built in the early 18th century, this temple is dedicated to the cherubic Lord Ganesha, youngest son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. With the face of an elephant and the body of a human, he is considered to drive away all evils by his sheer tenacity.

Lord Jagannath Temple: The Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri is another one of those must visit temples in India that should be part of your temple package. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, and is a vital part of the Char Dham Yatra. The rules here are very strict, and non-hindus do not get to enter the temple premises at all. The annual Rath Yatra held here is an event attended by people from the world over.

Meenakshi Temple: Dedicated to Goddess Parvati, the Meenakshi Temple located in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai city is an architectural wonder in itself, apart from being a place of devotion. There are nearly a thousand pillars inside the temple, all of which are intricately carved and different from each other. The external facade of the temple is a very, very bright and colorful one.

Dwarkadhish Temple: The Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat is another part of the Char Dham yatra that hindus consider the ultimate pilgrimage. More than 2,500 years old, the temple is believed to have a door to enter heaven and one to enter nirvana.

Amarnath Cave Temple: This is probably the biggest pilgrimage that a hindu devotee goes on, the Amarnath Yatra. The Amarnath Cave Temple is located in Kashmir, and it is much acclaimed for the natural shiva lingam that forms here during the monsoons, when the dripping water freezes to form the idol. This temple is open only from June to August, and does take a hard trek to visit here, taking nearly 5 days to finish the journey.

Tirupati Balaji Temple: The Tirupati Balaji Temple, located in Andhra Pradesh, is probably one of the most famous temples in India. Over a million devotees visit it daily, offering their hair as a penance for getting their wishes granted. This happens during the Brahmotsavam festival that is held every year in September.

Sabarimala Temple: Located in Kerala, this temple is one with strange customs, of not letting women of menstruation age enter it. It is dedicated to Lord Ayappa, the son of Lord Shiva and Mohini, who was the female incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Recent interventions by the Supreme Court mandated that women of all ages be allowed to enter the temple premises.

These are only a few of the many, many temples that are part of India. All of these well loved and much revered temples are a must visit, if only to see the devotion that people feel and show towards the idols. You are sure to really feel a connection to the “One Supreme Power” that reigns over everybody. Book the right temple tour packages for you so that you can feel the divine power coursing through you.
