Kedarnath Temple: There are 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the fabled abodes of Lord Shiva. The one at Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand is fabled to be the one at the highest elevation, and thus is quite difficult to get to. It is part of the famous chaar dham yatra, and for most Hindus it is imperative to visit. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas, after which it was rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya. Despite the flash floods that Uttarakahnd witnessed a few years ago, the temple remained intact with very little damage.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple: The Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi is another temple that is sure to be part of your temple tour packages. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is another of the important jyotirlingas in India.

Somnath Temple: Another temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Somnath Temple in Gujarat offers pilgrims not just a chance to revel in the glory of their own faith, but lets them enjoy beautiful views of the Arabian Sea. Hi Khushali and Preeti, We had an amazing time in Sikkim and Darjileeng. The itinerary was well planned. Transportation and accomodation were smooth and hassle-free. Drivers were humble, friendly. I would like to highlight few cons/issues we had during our trip 1. The mobile number of driver and pickup time for next day should have been informed a day prior. It led to irritation as we were ready and drivers came late for first 3-4 days. 2. First 2 cars were not clean from inside. Especially last seat windows had too much dust. 3. As we had senior citizens and hotels did not have lifts, they had to climb 3 stairs almost 3-4 times a day at our last hotel in Darjeeling. Please make sure to get the rooms on ground or first floor if there are senior citizens in groups. 4. We were not informed regarding toy train booking earlier, otherwise we would have booked it by ourselves beforehand. Also, when we asked for booking, we were not informed that you guys are charging 300 per person extra just to book a ticket online. We came to know when we checked ourselves. 5. If senior citizens and children are there in group, please suggest 2 nights stay in Lachung, as it becomes too hectic to travel to and from Lachung plus sightseeing in 2 days and 1 night stay. Apart from these points, we had beautiful experience in Sikkim and Darjileeng. Thanks for wonderful trip

We visited Arunachal Pradesh specially Tawang with the help of our travel agent Hill Dekho and Prashant. The whole itinerary was really well prepared and customised according to our need. Prashant the travel agent was always just a phone call away from us throughout the process right from sharing the quote to completing our tour. The cab driver (Vipul) was really a gem of a person and was cheerful throughout our Tawang trip. The hotels/homestays were satisfactory and the food was also good. Do go with Hill Dekho for the best price and itinerary. Really good experience. Best memories were visiting the snow capped mountains and the Bumla Pass. Felt proud seeing the army guarding us in the Chinese border. All mountain lovers should visit India's Land of the Rising Sun. Tawang was mesmerising and beautiful.

Siddhivinayak Temple: You should definitely include the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai as part of your temple tour packages. Built in the early 18th century, this temple is dedicated to the cherubic Lord Ganesha, youngest son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. With the face of an elephant and the body of a human, he is considered to drive away all evils by his sheer tenacity.

Dwarkadhish Temple: The Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat is another part of the Char Dham yatra that hindus consider the ultimate pilgrimage. More than 2,500 years old, the temple is believed to have a door to enter heaven and one to enter nirvana.

Amarnath Cave Temple: This is probably the biggest pilgrimage that a hindu devotee goes on, the Amarnath Yatra. The Amarnath Cave Temple is located in Kashmir, and it is much acclaimed for the natural shiva lingam that forms here during the monsoons, when the dripping water freezes to form the idol. This temple is open only from June to August, and does take a hard trek to visit here, taking nearly 5 days to finish the journey.

Tirupati Balaji Temple: The Tirupati Balaji Temple, located in Andhra Pradesh, is probably one of the most famous temples in India. Over a million devotees visit it daily, offering their hair as a penance for getting their wishes granted. This happens during the Brahmotsavam festival that is held every year in September.

Sabarimala Temple: Located in Kerala, this temple is one with strange customs, of not letting women of menstruation age enter it. It is dedicated to Lord Ayappa, the son of Lord Shiva and Mohini, who was the female incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Recent interventions by the Supreme Court mandated that women of all ages be allowed to enter the temple premises.
